Made a fan game where he basically remade Star Wars pod racer on UE4 and it looks amazing...

There is a link to a google drive folder with the game, but it seems like too many people have downloaded it already and it's not accessible anymore.

Now THIS is podracing!

I really enjoyed the pc version back when I 'aquired' a load of games years back. Hard as nails later on too, never managed to finish it. Arcade version was great too.

I did a thread a while back asking if we were at the point of being able to have a game look as good as the podrace from the film, and I'd say with a proper budget behind it, it could be done.

A full remake of this would be amazing :wub:

Which is genuinely tragic because Criterion + Frostbite + Pod Racer is one of my ideal gaming combos.

Imma betting heavily on DLC

There's a ton of DLC potential now, though, with the three prequels now being out, plus the sequel trilogy, standalone films and multiple TV series' from which to draw inspiration.

Think of all the micro transactions they could put in as well for upgrading your pod in the career mode.

I would've thought they'd have learned from Battlefront II and Disney's intervention that that gooseberry fool won't fly anymore.

Isn't this fan mod just the one level? I watched a video about it last week and the guy who made it has to release the source code for modders to continue the project.
