Outside of a couple of bits the crate stuff is very much optional, can get extra stim packs for doing bits in the overworld which is always good. Overall I enjoyed this game though, not enough to go back and hoover up all the extra content but the main story was good enough, it felt very Star Wars which is again good  it feels amazing when you nail a section of the combat to feel properly like a Jedi Knight too. Graphics are amazing, sounds good enough too. I really should load it up since the update for the next gen consoles to see how it looks now.

Not the best Star Wars game anyone has made but it’s the first Star Wars game I’ve played since EA got the rights to the game licence so it’s got that going for it at least?

Valhalla does those annoying loading screens too :capnscotty: Not quite as often as this but still there!

I do think there is a lot of potential there. I'm optimistic for a next gen sequel.

Spent some more time on this last night and I'm kind of getting into it a bit more! I still think all of the flaws and weaknesses I've mentioned are present and it hasn't really done anything to reduce their impact but I think I've just come to accept it for what it is and lean into the positives where I find them!

Unlocking a few more upgrades and the "push" force power has made things more interesting for sure

I'm not sure they really needed "puzzle" type sections in this, whilst it was kind of interesting throwing my big balls around the Zeffo temple it doesn't really feel like it fits with the rest of the game.

Also needing to use specific things like the balls or plants to break through walls when I've got perfectly good force powers and a massive lightsaber which should be more than capable of doing the job is a bit annoying from a "suspension of disbelief" perspective.

That sort of thing always bothers me in games, particularly in games like tomb raider where a contraption exists with the sole means of progressing being destruction of an entire room. How did they test it?

Well, that's that underground palace finished after 18 years of construction. Now to finish the door. I'll just put this massive battering ram attached to a water wheel, targeting the structural support.

What? Why not just use a key?

No, we'll flood this room, turn the wheel and then collapse this entire cave to get back in.

Yeah it's ridiculous if you bother to spend 5 seconds thinking about it and it's usually made even worse by the fact you go through these ridiculous steps to get somewhere which seems only accessible by totalling a building or something and then when you get there a bunch of random baddies are waiting for you - how the hell did you guys get here then?!
