I do wish it have some form of fast travel. Especially when I miss the last chest waaaaaaaaaaaay at the bottom of Dathomir. At the bloody bottom!

I decided to go hoovering up the chests and secrets before heading to what I think is the final planet and now I've got no enthusiasm for actually finishing the game. I've probably got a 15-20 minute hike back to the ship and I just can't be arsed at the moment.

This is what I want to avoid. I'm only two levels in and it seems really fun so far but it sounds like I'm going to be better off not worrying too much about going back for collectibles.

I highly recommend enjoying that final location.

You can go back and Hoover up missed chests afterwards.
That last place is *chef kiss fingers*

This. Even if it's just fast travel back to the ship from wherever you are, with a short cut scene of whatever the main bloke is called running through a door or something. Maybe the loading is so slow that it would be totally exposed by fast travel.

That might be it, even on PS5 the load times are excruciating. Especially after playing new games like Demon's Souls and Miles Morales.

Yeah! Literally just a "take me home now" feature would help

Playing on Series X, I do wonder whether the game would be a bit quicker if those crawling through gap scenes weren't quite so long. They're obviously there to hide loading on PS4/XBO but their duration is probably the same on next gen even if it's not necessary.

Just done Kashyyk and it's making me want to replay Sekiro. Something about the combat in this feels kind of off. Like there's a micro second of a gap between dodging and attacking that stops it all feeling as fluid as something like Sekiro.

It also feels pretty janky with texture pop in and stuttering cut scenes. I'm not sure if that's a backwards compatibility issue or if it's always been there but it doesn't have any of the polish of the games that it's clearly ripping off.

I'm loving it because it's Star Wars but it's probably a 6/10 game at this early point.

Based on this I went back and ignored the chest hunt. strawberry float me, you're not wrong. Barely a missed beat throughout that level (the only thing missing for me was main movie theme which should have kicked in just before the credits rolled).

Its not perfect but a solid 8/10 from me.

Double Platinum get!

Still love that final world. I would agree that this is the best single player Star Wars game since KOTOR. Superb game. Even better on the PS5. Faster loading, 4K and 60FPS with no slowdown at all (there are some slowdown on the PS4 Pro.)

How long do I have left if I've just beaten The Ninth Sister and am on my way to Dathomir?

It feels like I still have a way to go but I'm already sick of the game reusing whole levels and making me backtrack constantly. It's the worst padding I've ever seen in a game. Even with the shortcuts (which are gooseberry fool anyway, in my opinion).

This also has the worst cases I've ever seen of second guessing which branching path is going to lead to a secret or continue the story. I missed one secret in Kashyyk because of it but like strawberry float am I trekking 20 minutes to go back there.

Depends on difficultly. But you have a few hours still yet. Maybe 5. There is a new planet after dathomir. Then some back tracking.

More back tracking :dread: I might put it to one side for now otherwise I'm going to force myself to push on and end up resenting it.

It’s not too bad. It just ties some of the bits together and reason for the various areas. There is no new massive exploration in those areas, I skipped most of it and just went for the objective.

The new planet and end game are worth it. If you have 5 stims and the double sabre, just go for objective.

I generally really enjoyed it. It did feel like it fell into a bit of a trope for this sort of game when you get storm troopers that seem specifically designed to frustrate the combat a bit. It was also a bit weird to feel quite so underpowered as a Jedi, but I guess the game wouldn't work if you were as powerful as Yoda.

Otherwise the plot was really solid and they did a really great job in the universe.

They really needed the meditation points to be fast travel points. I'm mopping up secrets now before I go to the final world and it's soul-destroying having to walk across the entire planet and back again to the ship.

Don't do it, you get the chance after the game is finished to do that.

Unless fast travel opens up though I might as well do it before so I have health bonuses for the final boss.

I'm definitely going to finish it but, if it wasn't Star Wars, I don't think any of us would be giving it a second look. It's a poor imitation of far better games and deserves to be shelved alongside the likes of The Surge.
