Looks good and varied, IGN says it's a Star Wars Uncharted. Protagonist is so blah, and his voice too. Might get if the Rise of Skywalker fever hits me.
Makers me hanker for a Knight of the Old Republic 3

Played a bit more and it’s definitely very good. One of the best Star Wars games. Never thought it would be possible!

The map is a bit clumsy but at least it’s a lot better than Control’s map system.

The exploration looks a heck a lot like the new style of Tomb Raider games which is great, glad to see it's geting some great reviews certainly one to put on the Christmas list.

Done the second planet. Very good. Feeling more powerful and enjoying the puzzles. Love the hidden bits.

A very Uncharted inspired game. Train bit at the beginning is taken direct from Uncharted 2. Only thing that doesn't work is the sliding sections. Bloody terrible but very brief.

Wish my image sig would work

Really tempted by this but not sure whether to pay £38 for it on PC via CD Keys or just to get Origin Access Premier for a month at £15 and try and get through it before the month is up. Anybody got any experience with Origin Premier?

I've got Origin Premier, I subscribed before Anthem launched and just paid up front for a full year. There's definitely a good range of titles on there, and it's pretty nice getting every EA game the moment it launches. There's some non-EA stuff on the service, though it's certainly no Gamepass.

Are there any QTEs in this? And if so, do they overly suck?

No QTEs at all so far. Closest to that is in an early boss fight a cut scene where you have to tap square a few times.

Great, cheers, there's a few things I fancy trying so I might give it a month and see how I go.

Looks like another decent game to play at some point, although I suspect this will be a ps5 purchase in boost mode.

No QTEs so far, apart from one at the prologue.

Which is a surprise.

Getting lots of Star Wars Rebels vibes early on.

Impressive so far. Definite takes from Dark Souls, Uncharted, and God of War.

Every so often an enemy will grapple you/sabre lock for a quick ‘hammer x’ to break but that seems to be it

I have a free month of EA Access on my dashboard so I might redeem that offer and play through this quick :shifty:

I'm struggling a bit with combat, as even after the previews I never expected it to be as technical as it is. I'm liking the story and interactions, and the exploration, but the combat... I just don't really understand where I'm going wrong with it when I'm doing everything it expects of me. Or it could be that I'm getting massively overwhelmed as I went for what I assume to be the higher level of the two places you first get to choose from.

I'm still loving it, though.

The difficulty of some of the planets is a bit surprising.

Just finished the third level and getting better at the game. Performance wise it's all over the place but gameplay is what it needs to be and the story ticks lot of boxes.

Wish my image sig would work
