Ok so far. The Ancient Aliens thing is straight from KOTOR and the Jedi Cuts Themself Off From The Force is the entire plot of KOTOR 2.

Tell you what though, I absolutely cannot stand Cal's character model. It's...I just want to punch him. Constantly. His actor delivers all his lines in this weird monotone too.

Speaking of KotOR, its protag wasn't much of a character either but at least he was a blank slate. This guy looks like a blank slate but with a permanent mean nothing expression daubed on his mug. But I haven't played the game so I could be wrong...

Closing in on the end of this now. ....

Very much a front loaded game. It feels like a rush release as the game is padded out with back tracking. The combat isn't souls, it tries to be but isn't as precise. The map shows what you can and can't access, this kills the metroidvania aspect of it, as why even approach a red locked area.

The reviews have been overly kind as every reviewer seems to be thrilled it's not EA at their worst.

The opening level is amazing and feels like pure star wars, after that it's just not the same level as quality.

And done. Slow opening aside that was fantastic. A real ‘smoothie’ of different games that worked well

Amazing use of Vadar!!!

Played on hard and other than a few spikes it wasn’t too bad.

Not many collectibles left to hoover up but not too sure I can be bothered

Vader was a bad ass as usual, and all it makes me want is a proper Vader film that shows off his powers. The only close thing we see is his massacre of lowly rebels in Rogue One.

It's great. A fair amount of glitches but nothing that's going to make me stop enjoying it. :toot:

I'm a fair way in and yeah, it's great. Terrible start, I found the first 4 hours interminable, but it gets better once you've unlocked all the powers.

Came across a boss. Failed. I really need to make more use of the block.

Finished.

I think overall I echo others' thoughts: super slow start and a great ending.

Just like Rogue One Vader was proper terrifying as he should be, even if it he wasn't really needed.

Lovely swinging game, there.

I've progressed a bit more, having beat the second sister on Zeffo and completed that section. Then I buggered off to Dathomir to put in a bit more XP grinding before continuing the story. I also have to admit to getting stuck on one of the puzzles that should have been easy to figure.

I only just realised the protag looks like Geoff Keighley.

Played a few hours. I'm really enjoying it, loving the environmental exploration and learning my new skills and testing my limits.

Biggest gripe so far is how wobbly the movement is and Cal has the strawberry floating stupid lean whenever you move the left stick like your controlling a boat.

I'm sure it's mind bogglingly hard to program these things but I can't believe it's 2019 and we're still get this wonky-ass character control.

Also the loading is real slow.

I really hate that the heal isn’t immediate.

It definitely needs to kick in at least slightly faster.

It's a shame that the main character is so dull when he's so utterly fabulous on Gotham.

The actor or the character?

Seems fine to me so far, his interactions with BD1 are very charming.

I started this again and, as I knew the systems better, I enjoyed it a lot more. I echo the problems with the character's movement however: he never feels fully attached to the floor and is extremely wobbly.

And I too hate the actor and his performance here. He's supremely wooden, with no charming or redeeming features. I suppose maybe he's supposed to be bland so a wide range of people can imprint on him, but he comes across as dull, stupid and just plain badly acted. He looks like a strawberry floating chump too.
