I might actually give it another go when the update hits.

I need to get back and finish this but I've lost all motivation for it now.

No idea how much more I've got to do, I'm heading back to Kashyyyk for the second time - is there loads left at this point?

I think I'm burning out on it because I'm trying to fully explore places on the first visit and the game really isn't set up to make that fun - traipsing back and forth is just tedious.

Just starting out in this game, question about parrying? - I can parry the regular scouts batons, and the regular trooper shots. I know i cant parry the "flashing red" attacks. But I dont seem to be able to parry even the officer scouts batons. Im on "normal" skill level. Can you parry attacks other than those demonstrated in the opening tutorial level? If so How?

You can parry pretty much anything that isn't a red attack I think. It's just about timing the button press to just before the attack lands - the harder the difficulty the smaller the window for it to work.

Red attacks you either just have to avoid (not always easy because of the cheesy way enemies lock on to you in this) or hit them enough whilst they are red to interrupt them

yeah - its just with the ordinary scout troopers you get a satisfying slo-mo parry take down. You dont seem to get it with anything else. Unless im doing something wrong? Maybe its only the "final" takedown animation?

Ive also just found i can click the right thumbstick to lock on - made the albino spider fight alot easier. I should start reading the instructions.

Stronger enemies take more parries - you have to do several successful ones in a row to exhaust their stamina bar

I've just got back into this game after being beaten up by some flying bat monster thing.

I'm getting frustrated with it and decided to set the difficulty to "Story mode". Goodness me it's damn sight easier and probably more enjoyable.

It's taken me so long to get through this that I'm not bothered by the challenge any more.

I didn't get on with this game yesterday, found it pretty boring TBH. The main character, the dialogue, the gameplay, the progression, the collectables - it's all varying shades of dull IMO. If I'd bought it I'd have probably pushed through to the end, but I got it via Game Pass so I think I'll just ditch it and move on to something else.

I've pretty much given up on this now, not played it for a couple of weeks and I can't see any reason to go back and finish it. Like you say the whole thing is just very dull and middle of the road.

The proper next gen update for this is out now and free for existing owners - can't vouch for PS5 but my Xbox copy is upgrading as I type this.. don't think they've announced what the update brings yet but guessing a trailer/announce will be made soon...

How much more of the game is there at that point? If there isn't too much more too go I may actually try and finish it off

Be awesome if they'd added some cool stuff like Ray Tracing support - the game already looked phenomenal and I think on Series X had 4k 30 or 1440p/60 fps support so guess this might just be 4K 60FPS and better loading or maybe improved textures but would be nice if they'd done a bit more than the usual and made more use of the new tech. Ray traced lighting/reflections with light sabers could look amazing.. probably unlikely though.
