That was their argument, but in a game, I think they all care about what the actual game is over anything else.

Evidence the response to it being confirmed its a single player story driven game, its the gameplay people care about.

Mixer is shite. I went to full screen mode and hid the chat and it STILL kept showing me crappy little animated GIFs of Stormtroopers flexing their groin. Much better on YouTube.

Not really, every single, single player story game that anyone ever thought was any good, was good because it played well. Just like any other game.

I guess I should have known based on the output of the series, but Star Wars fans have some real low standards based on the response in the room.

I guess I shouldn’t be too critical because this was clearly aimed at Star Wars fans more than gamers, but that was not an exciting way to reveal the first proper Star Wars singleplayer game in years.

Trailer really didn’t do anything for me, I didn’t get any intrigue about the story or the characters and there was nothing about how the game actually plays for me to look forward to.

Surprised that Respawn didn’t offer more because they seem to know how to engage their audience, but maybe they only had very limited input in what they could do here.

That trailer showed what it needed to. It revealed about as much as The Force Unleashed ones did. I expected more from the panel itself, but I can understand that they want to save it for E3. And for the players experiencing for themselves. Also, it's similar for what they did with Battlefront 2's story two years back.
