This is on my Radar but i am holding off for now purely as I have too much stuff to play already. Loved Titanfall 2 though so expect this to be just as good.

Titanfall 2 was excellent, and there are some decent names attached to this (Chris Avellone, Stig Asmussen etc.) so I'm definitely interested in this one.

I will admit, having watched and read a bit more, I'm beginning to warm to this. I'd definitely need to try it beforehand though. Still disappointed they went with a generic, blue eyed, blonde haired protagonist.

I would rather the main hero would be some of the non-human species... there are several species who aren't human that are Jedis.

Really thought I'd be looking forward to this but as much as it looks nice, I just can't get excited for it. Probably once the reviews drop.

This has 6/10 QTE fest written all over it.

Some of the previews are suggesting otherwise but I admit I am getting a little carried away

It's from a studio who have never made a game that was less than excellent. The marketing has been...bad but the in-depth previews super positive. I'd say it'll get solid 8s and 9s all the way.

I'm not sure they've ever recovered from the underwhelming reveal hype wise, and while the studio are solid, the association with EA is probably hurting it too.

The glowing baseball bat effect of the lightsaber always disheartens me.

Lightsabers should cut through everything on contact.
But I know it would make the game too easy.

Not according to Disney. Flesh wounds at best, unless you're facing solid rock then they go through them like butter.

Lets face it the physics and mechanics of Lightsabers have never exactly been perfect or consistant across any of the Star Wars canon!

When is this out again? As I say I'm definitely looking forward to it due to the people involved so as long as it gets solid reviews I think I will be on board.

True enough. Lightsabers are deadly unless you're facing a hero or chief villain whose tale is yet to come to a conclusion.

Plot armour is a classic storytelling trope and we see it everywhere. For example, watching Hell on Wheels - when the protagonist shoots someone, they're dead, but when the protagonist gets shot square in the strawberry floating spine, oh he'll be up in a moment.

This releases in exactly two weeks, same as Sword and Shield. Two great games to play. Guess I'll be doing nothing else that day, then.

Well they are hardly to put in dismembering in a family friendly saga?

It’s one of the reasons that George Lucas went along with droids in Episode 1 so he can show dismembering.
