And finished, dat whole end section when a certain someone shows up :datass: really looking forward to a sequel. You just know they’ll all get slaughtered by Vader eventually

Played through it on 1440p/Ultra/locked to 45fps but kept getting microstutters, replaced my RAM with newer slightly faster sticks on Friday night and that sorted the microstutters out shame I was quite a fair way through the game though.

Sequel confirmed for probable next gen release:

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is reportedly already in the works at Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts, presumably for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The report comes way of Kotaku, who notes that EA currently has two Star Wars projects cooking. One of these is a "smaller, more unusual" project at EA Motive that EA already confirmed was in development. Meanwhile, the other is a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which debuted last year on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. And despite a plethora of bugs and performance issues, it debuted to both strong reviews and sales. In other words, it's not very surprising that it's getting a sequel.

Further, we kinda already knew this was the case as early as December, thanks to a job listing that sounded like it was for a sequel to the 2019 Cal Kestis Star Wars game.

Great news.

Would also love some DLC for the first game, but a sequel will do :)

I’ve just started this and got to say who ever decided the controller set up is a gooseberry fool. The opening ten minutes while it looks great, I must of died about 5 times falling mid jump :fp:

Have they bothered fixing the bugs and performance issues in this?

Finally hammered through this. I thought this was a bit.. meh...

I thought it was a bit buggy, controls weren’t the best & the gameplay was quite repetitive. The levels whilst large were sometimes difficult to navigate and same old same old.

I did love how it looked, the overall Star Wars universe just lends it self so well to video games, they are always fun to just get into. The cgi/voice capture was brilliant and I enjoyed the characters. The ending was the best bit and I only held out for that. (Although I found hard to care about the main character)

I feel there’s little replay value (for me anyhow) but I’ll pick up the sequel just for the story when it comes
out and drops in price.

Just my thoughts :shifty:

Did the update fix lots of the bugs people have been moaning about, do you know?

I was jumping on this yesterday anyway, but the new update helped convince me a bit more. On a New Journey+, after Bogano I untook the passage of Dathomir to get the dualsaber early once again. Something that took me three hours was complete in around ten minutes. Now I'm rocking that red crystal with the dualsaber.

I haven't played it (yet) but the impression I get is at the very least the first is a good foundation for them to build on?

I think the recent update showed they're keen to keep momentum going.

Awesome news, as long as the quality isn't diluted.

It's not without its flaws, but it's got the star wars vibe nailed and it's a nice single player adventure.

I loved it.

It's EA, so we'll maybe get one more good one, then they'll run it into the ground and kill Respawn.

Finally got this today. Love the setting and story, visually it nails it and the characters feel very Star Warsy. One gripe I have though is the unlockables. They feel a bit samey and is basically the same costume in different colours. I got the deluxe version on the cheap, and to charge any extra for what you get is one of the biggest cons since horse armour in Oblivion!

Despite that, the gameplay is really fun, so I can see myself finishing this.

Edit: Got the double edged lightsaber. Feels weird seeing it in a colour other than red. Dathomir looks very much like Doom 2016.

Started playing this again after seeing this thread, never finished the game so nice to get back into it. I like how you the progress feels consistent. I still find it a bit annoying sometimes when you have to go back on yourself in areas (may be that I'm not using shortcuts as well as I should...). The new update looks interesting, will give it a go once I finish the main game for sure.

Loved this. It's hardly perfect but it's Star Wars. A sequel is pretty much on the books at the endgame, so a confirmation of it happening is pretty neat.

Finished this yesterday. Really good Star Wars game that helped erase memories of TLJ and ROS. Looking forward to a sequel, I think the combat could do with some improvements. I know a lot of people liked the Dark Souls style combat but at times I felt it got in the way a little of the enjoyment of the universe.

From the reviews I thought I'd be annoyed at the respawning enemies but it didn't ever really cause a problem as you usually have one route around a planet so you only ever seem to go to the opening area twice in one run. I didn't think there was a lot of backtracking.

Really good game, great soundtrack and the characters were awesome.
