I'm not going to watch because I want the giddy excitement and surprises at Christmas: wub:

BBC news are showing bits of the trailer every 20 mins :fp: Keep having to mute the t.v. and look away.

Epic trailer. Lots of hinting but most will probably be clever edits to keep us guessing. Just looks so very polished and now I want to buy a fluffy toy from the Disney shop, damn you marketing!

Wish my image sig would work

Same here. I've seen the new poster, which is amazing, and that's enough. Bring in December

Good trailer. I hope this one has more replay value as I found Force Awakens pretty dull on second viewing, even though I rather enjoyed it first time.

After all the accusations of VII being a reboot, I'm surprised they've gone for an obvious Jedi training sequence in a remote location and a snow level

Not sure if it's been mentioned before but Cineworld are now taking bookings.

With all that in mind I'm hoping the Rey/Kylo bit at the end isn't a "join me and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son buddies" scene

How spoilery is the new trailer then, given the director said to give it a miss if you wanted a complete surprise?

I don't want to watch something that may dampen a surprise, but I also want to be sufficiently hyped up, as for the past three years I'm tied in a new SW film with going back to the UK for Christmas (and, erm, seeing my friends and family clearly isn't enough for me...).

I'd give it a miss, TBH. As someone said above, some of the stuff they purport to 'give away' might be editing trickery, but if it's not, we know quite a lot about the film now.

(Of course, one plot point was unavoidable, given real-life events :shifty: )

Trailer doesn't give much away in regard to the overall plot and uses a fair amount of misdirection but if you're going to see the film regardless I wouldn't bother watching.
