Poe is a dickhead in 2 of the films, is what I was alluding to.

Oh, I know. I guess I just don't see the reason to relate to him when there's other pilots era-appropriate they could relate to, if they have to pull a name to attach to that 'ace pilot' tag. I guess none of them are as recognisable as Poe, though, or as recent.

Question: Is it worth investing in PS VR just for this game, given the imminent arrival of next gen platforms, which I can only assume will have their own new VR systems?

It's ridiculously pricey and I'm not spending $500 for a device I'll only use for one or two games for a few months.

If you think you'll stick with it then I don't see what not. You can play astrobot then which is brilliant. Ps5 will support the current psvr headset too apparently.

Edit: 500 dollars?! Surely you can find it a lot cheaper than that somwhere. I paid 180 pounds for a new one with a load of games included.

On it's own I would say it's not worth it, but there are plenty of really good PSVR games worth looking at.

It usually gets pretty heavily discounted in sales so it's probably best waiting till you get a good deal on it. It being PS5 compatible is also a bonus so you can carry it forward at least until PSVR2 is announced/released. Bear in mind that you really need the PS Move controllers as well to get the most from it (In my opinion) and they tend to be hard to find/expensive.

Checking Best Buy, it's $350 for the bundle including headset, Move controllers, camera and Iron Man. I'm sure there'll be a Star Wars bundle eventually, though.

I might buy more VR games if I had it, but my main reason would be this game.

Can't wait to play this. Looks great and that short totally nails what I wanted to see more of in the sequel trilogy (Sweet space dogfights and battles).

Oh and if you pre-order on Epic Store you get some X-Wing unlock for Fortnite.

I should be all over this (a vr star wars space SIM ffs!) BUT the timing means I may have to wait a bit as I've got other games coming and it may not get the time it needs.

It is cheap on cdkeys though :shifty:

I’ll definitely get this down the line but I’ve got Fallen Order to play through first for a bit of a Star Wars fix, also I reckon this’ll drop much cheaper than Fallen Order has so might be able to pick it up next year for £15 or so on console.

This had passed me by until I saw an PSVR post on FB this morning. Wow. Looks phenomenal. I nearly sold my PSVR in the summer but so glad I didn't.

Currently £27 on cdkeys for an origin key.

Or if you don't want to give your money to the ea shop, epic games have it for £35, but if you download rocket league for free, you get a £10 voucher, taking it down to £25 :toot:

The whole game isn’t on VR? Just a certain selections.

It even said that on the preorder on PSN website.

This looks superb. I miss Rogue Squadron/Leader.

I think I'm gonna get this, especially at a cheaper price.

That's not working for me. I have two of those vouchers and it's not letting me use either...

EDIT: Doesn't work on pre-orders. I'll have to set a date on my calendar to redeem it!
