Sure, but it's like playing Battlefield against bots. It's doable, just a bit dull.

Thanks for the insight guys. Maybe some balancing patches and a sale down the road.

Played my first multiplayer game today and, while I was on the winning team, only contributed two kills of the 30 we'd amassed :shifty: Riding everyone's coattails to victory. Gonna be a loooooooong time before I get enough glory for any of the cosmetics  I guess you end up spending the requisitions with each upgrade you unlock?

EDIT: Also a couple of times the killcam camera has been *behind* the enemy ship. Is there a third-person view as an upgrade or is it a temporary camera while you aim a missile or something?

So one of the deathmatch maps is just...a huge empty space? :slol:

I'm still loving it, but man that's a terrible addition.

EDIT: Also why is there always 1 person who refuses to "Ready Up" meaning everyone has to wait the full 1.30 until each map starts? :fp:

That's if you get a full ten people in a lobby and people don't quit out while waiting.

Last time I spent the 1:30 looking at the upgrades I couldn't buy without realising everyone was waiting for me :shifty:

Absolutely not ready to even try multi player yet, I feel like a slug just trying to turn around in the single player.

Am I missing a trick or something, though? Pulling a 180° in this feels like a tremendous manoeuvre.

Fleet battles just dropped me into a game where it seemed like none of my team actually knew or cared what they were doing :fp: The person "top" of the team had 16 kills but no capital ship damage. strawberry floating hell, man. Did worse with a team of players than I did on my own.

Yeah, there's going to be those players who just gun for the kills, but at least here there's a point to doing so, since kills increase the morale of the team which is necessary to keep the assault going. Not the fault of that player if no-one else is going for the objective or getting easily killed. They're doing the best for their team in the way they know how.

Is it harder the more human players you've got? Second game in a row where they've taken out both our capital ships before we've destroyed one of theirs. And it's meant to be on EASY! Christ. I was looking forward to this so much but the balancing is completely strawberry floated.

I do find it hard to turn around, but apparantly rolling breaks pitching for some reason.

Went buy this on Xbox store then noticed it says it's on EA Play. Does anyone know if that's correct? Will hold off buying till EA Play is Game pass if so.

I don't understand what im doing wrong, but if me and my friend play we can never win.

Fleet Battles vs other players it always feels like the other team know what they're doing and they completely strawberry float us. Like as soon as we get an advantage we get pushed back immediately and our raider dies super fast or something along those lines.

I don't get how to win.

This game sounds like my nightmare. I think these kind of fast, competitive online multiplayer games are beyond me now. Shame as it looked pretty cool.

You can't win, but there are alternatives to fighting.

Seriously I've put this on hold until they fix the HOTAS deadzone issue.

Didn't buy the damn thing only to play games that are built for it with a pad.

Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

I'm in a weird place with this now. I've finished the campaign, just hit level 10 in MP and I'm fairly frustrated.

The flight model is excellent. I've not played a game that felt quite so cinematic for ages, and that feeling you get when you're killing it in MP is astounding. BUT I'm already a little...not bored but I want more. Having just 2 MP modes, both of which are fairly small, is making me want more. Battlefront scale, 20 v 20 matches, or games with events tied to progression like capitol ships warping in or blowing up. A mode that lets you play in the battles of Endor and Yavin.

The gameplay itself makes you feel like you're actually in Star Wars, but the modes feel like rote multiplayer. It's like if you had DOOM 2016's shooting but every level was a dull grey box.

It honestly would have helped a bit had they had some maps within the atmosphere of planets. Or even a larger mode that wasn't tied to the morale system with plenty of players. There's a great game here, but much like most, only the dedicated core will remain in around a week.

Just done the Imperial tutorial mission thing. I was a bit confused as to why I never seemed to change speed despite ragging my throttle like one of those card imprint machines you used to see in Tesco in the 80s. Turns out they'd mapped my speed to the little paddles on the back of my throttle and not my actual throttle. As soon as I worked that out in the practice arena I was zipping around really happily!

Then I played a quick online match and I was shiiiiit!

I just got the PSVR for this with an Amazon gift card from my parents and I'm wondering if it's going to be worth it, now.
