They should trim the opening funny (can you hear me? :? :fp: ) and extend the sacrifice scene just by a couple more seconds. Loved that scene. (The moment of impact and surveying the aftermath.)

I rewatched it the other day. Still loved it and still bothered by the same things. I'll be interested to see how they finish it off.

Rewatched this tonight. It's brilliant. Easily the best in the entire series, and I think history will judge it to be so.

I like TLJ, but it's not exactly the series' best, mainly because of the overdone humor. Perhaps history will judge it differently though, I mean, look at how people are reassessing TPM now. Aside from a couple of cringey lines, I think it's pretty great.

TLJ is the second best for sure. Rewatching the original trilogy a while back, I was surprised how dull A New Hope could be, and how RoTJ wastes seemingly half its runtime on a useless intro sequence. The only genuinely great film of the three is Empire, which I don't think is unconnected to the fact it's the one Lucas had the least to do with (didn't direct, his wife edited his original story into something much darker and more serious).

I remember the good old days when I used to respect your opinion.

OH my god, TLJ is the second best star wars film? Taff what you smoking boi?

It's on a par with the phantom menace for me (which I half like by the way, it has its moments). Better than ANH and ROTJ...nah

The film could have been the best in the series it they let admiral Akbar do the lightspeed jump and if they had Luke actually arrive and fight

Wish my image sig would work

The only way TPM is being reassessed is in relation to the other two prequels.

TPM is pretty gooseberry fool, but nowhere near as gooseberry fool as the other two. :dread:

TLJ is way too mixed, some of the humour is pretty good but some make my skin crawl, you have the cool fight in the throne room but then you have BB8 growing to fit some ATST legs and the gooseberry fool fight with Phasma and Finn. None of the original trilogy have parts as bad as the really bad in TLJ.

Objectively it's better than TPM but I'd probably watch TPM over TLJ at the moment. Hopefully I will grow to like TLJ more.

I don't mind the Ewoks but yeah you're probably right.

It's a kids movie. They're all kids movies. I saw TPM first as a wee bairn and Jar Jar was strawberry floating hilarious.

I saw Jedi as a five year old and we went apeshit for the Ewoks.

TPM was George W Bush. TLJ is Trump.

That is all.
