There's usually a choice of open PvP and consensual PvP servers for MMOs, so I doubt this will be any different. :)

My love of the KOTOR series will probably force me to get this. Looking forward to it :) :)

Still disappointed this is being made over KOTOR3, but it does look like the first real WoW competitor.

KOTOR 3 would have been great, much preferred that over a KOTOR MMO :(

I don't like that. Legend of Mir had it best with PvP always being on 8-)

It depends on the game. EVE for instance wouldn't work without mandatory open PvP, but when a game is largely PvE based it makes sense to offer the choice. Personally I'm not too keen on the idea of playing through story-led quests only for some bunny hopping Sith Lord to jump me halfway through. :P

Anyway, there will almost certainly be several servers to choose from anyway, so it might as well offer both choices.

Looks fantastic, But I dont see why it has to be an MMO. When everything theyve shown of so far is 'look how great the singleplayer is'.

Noooooooo! etc.

Why must this be a MMO? And why must it be for PC? I want KOTOR3 for 360, dagnamit!

Any news on pricing yet? I still refuse to pay to play a game, if its based on any kind of model that is not like guild wars, I am out no matter how great it'll be.

This does look promising... but I just wish it wasn't so... cartoony looking.

Having said that, I'll probably get it on day one.. with a freshly upgraded PC to boot...
Also I predict that after one month of going live it'll look like this:

600,000+ Players with Jedi/Sith Characters
< 80,000 Players with non-Jedi/Sith Characters

It's what essentially killed SWG, because everyone was a Jedi. Absolutely everyone :D

What was your favourite class? I had a quite good Necro Minion master. Also just before factions came out I made a quite good ranger build, that a warrior could take advantage of.

All I can say is, wow  actually cannot wait for this game to go into beta and, ya know, come out!

The look is fantastic and I'm loving the way MMO games are getting faster, pandering more to the hack and slash crowd as much as something like WoW's turtle paced, one group at a time play. I also like the way all the class' really have their own wildly different style of play with Smugglers taking cover, Sith jumping in and going mental, bounty hunter incapacitating guys and flaming others, and the individual stories will mean I'll have more reason to play all the class' than just having a healer or a tank etc.

The conversation system looks great as well, and the way groups of players each have a hand in them is a fantastic touch.

As much an action game as an RPG, all I need to know is what the end game will be like...

Oh and John Williams music means epic win anyway.

I hope not. Then the PVP servers get filled with cuntoids.

I don't like the restriction, they could even work out a nice self policing thing, where bounty hunters can go after people who grief (PvP).
