Supporting more platforms has an increased development and support cost, of course, but it'd be a safe bet that would be more than offset by the extra sales on that platform for this or a new Elder Scrolls especially.
Being exclusive there will be some people who would have bought it on playstation given the choice but will now buy it on PC or xbox, or subscribe to game pass, and even go out and buy an xbox (if they can) to play it. I doubt in isolation that will offset the potential revenue from releasing on playstation - but that's presumably been weighed up against the wider and longer term effect of making this exclusive to increase the value of xbox and game pass.
My additional argument in favour of a multiplatform release was that, unlike in previous generations, there would still be an incentive to favour the xbox ecosystem over getting the game on playstation because of the imbalance in value between buying the game at full price and subscribing to game pass. I think that's still a relevant point, it just obviously wasn't a deciding one!
I don't know man you made some bad arguments too imo:

There is a PR hit to taking an incredibly popular multiplaform series like TES and making it exclusive which I think they would rather avoid.
I disagreed with everything in this post at the time, (it's NOTHING like Minecraft) but your original arguments are understandable.
More alarming was after the acquisition was finalized and the famous round table more people reckoned these game would NOT be exclusive. It seemed, Jawa, MCN, Garth and Monkey were the only ones who more ore less got it right in the end.
