Just picked up the Switch version on Amazon for the very fair price of £17.99

Casual space action ahoy!

Was holding off completing it till this DLC dropped, looking forward to going back into it.
Great game and good on Ubisoft for continuing to support it.

The new free expansion, Crimson Moon, is coming to all platforms on 30 April.

Eurogamer wrote:...Crimson Moon, described as the "theatre of the Outlaw Games". Here, players can indulge in newly introduced vehicle racing, featuring both single-player and two-player split-screen tracks, plus wave-based battling in the Crimson Coliseum. Leaderboards will be included too, alongside custom paint jobs.

Additionally, there will be some paid DLC available - "five new pilots, three new starships, and 11 new weapons". There will also be some paid DLC based on Star Fox exclusively for Switch players - "Building on the Star Fox content included in the base game, Ubisoft has created a series of new missions, in which Fox, Peppy, Slippy, and Falco - all now playable individually - attempt to track down the nefarious Star Wolf team. Although there's no official UK price just yet, it'll cost $11.99 USD (around £9)."

All sounds pretty neat!

The update and new DLC is out today. The main game update (as above) is free, whilst the DLC "Digital Collection Pack 2" is £39.99 (with the individual components also available individually). On Switch, the "Digital Star Fox Team Pilot Pack" is an additional £9.49.

Oof. I like the game but I'm unsure about finding fifty wraps to get all the new DLC :o .

Is this DLC likely the thing that people were referring to as Star Fox Grand Prix, or do people think there is another actual game out there?

I want to play the starfox stuff but the classic DLC problem of me having long since moved on from the game has hit. I'm playing other stuff at the moment, I still have Mario Rabbids DLC to get at some point!

The racing's fun if a bit fiddly. The R button gets a temporary map to the boost during races, allowing for control of the right stick when using it. But the ground controls just don't feel right for racing.

Gonna update the game later but it's a shame that the new Star Fox stuff is paid dlc, I was expecting it to be free.

Finally got round to starting this tonight (Switch) only put about an hour in so far but I like what i’ve played so far. Is it recommended to move on from the planets the first chance you get or is it worth mopping up all side content before moving on? Will I be seriously underpowered in later worlds if I move on too quick?

Move on... So much more stuff to unlock in later world's which make re visiting earlier world's better. Basically push on with the main story and unlock everything. I spent ages clearing out the first few planets but it gets dull fast with a few options. As you progress you can do so much more with bases and upgrades.

Wish my image sig would work

Yeah definitely press on, even past the first point where you think "oh the open world has things in it now". The game holds back so much until so late in and is much better with it
