Well the first film was brilliant! Alien bugs swarming guys, limbs being cut off, explosions, awesome battle sequences etc etc.

The second film.................. :fp: Seriously what were they thinking? Okay yeah little shitty bugs inside people. Not entertaining. Crap effects. What a disgrace.

Just seen 3. WHATTHEFUCKDIDYOUJUSTDOTOMYCHILDHOODFAVORITEFILM? Concept was good. Base getting attacked by strawberry floating warrior bugs and these new ones that get thrown in and explode. And scorpion bugs that have strawberry floating explosive liquid shooting stingers. I don't understand how they didn't make this film fun. Even the big robots with chainguns and gooseberry fool were enough to make me gag. And the whole religion thing? Don't get me started! They just totally strawberry floating ruined a perfectly amazing franchise. I'm actually angry

Seriously why did they strawberry float it up so bad?

Wasn't this movie, and the second one as well straight to DVD? What were you expecting honestly?

Seriously, read the book, it makes the first film a bit less awesome when you realise what verhoeven cut out/added :fp:

Has Uwe Boll been involved with it?

It's strawberry floating awful. No wonder it went straight to DVD....and then, who's buying the DVD?? I'd have to say it's worse than a Uwe Boll effort!

... I liked it.

Sure, it's not a patch on the first one, but it tried. And Rico was back!

I thought the religion thing was a good idea, but it was kind of rushed, which made it seem a bit in your face. I mean, it's probably the only thing they didn't think to joke about in the first one.

It started off well, with the tension between civilians and Citizens, seeing what it meant to be one or the other, something the first didn't really go into. But then to drop that entirely after making a far too blunt statement on it, have nothing else for much of the movie then blunder in with religion at the end made it seem really disjointed.

And I don't once remember anyone shouting "Medic!"

FAKE EDIT: Actually, reading that back, it was pretty gooseberry fool, wasn't it?

What a pile of shite! The first film was brilliant. I actually stopped reading that because it was sooo long and drawn out and was obviously just going to be more "hilarious" comments about how rubbish the film was supposed to be. Why would anyone nitpick a popcorn Science Fiction movie so much? I suppose it makes him feel extremely clever and superior.

Seriously, what is so difficult to get about the movie? It's entertaining; it sends up American news and military culture without being overbearing; and you get to see boobs.

Who gives a flying monkeys that Rico doesn't look South American?

That's Noah's 'thing', IGM. If you look on the main page you'll see just what other depths he plumbs. As obviously defensive as you are, he is obviously up his own arse (and fully aware of it) when criticising certain things.

God and Starship troopers 3 :fp:

It could have been realyl ace if they played off the returning cast properly but they didn't and it turned out to be really unbearable stuff.

*shrug* I guess I just didn't get it. Which is ironic, given my initial reaction...

and having read a few more, it's clear it just isn't my thing. Never mind.

Should have spent more time in the big mech things shooting bugs. This is the way to improve any movie.

It's terrible. I think if I saw that in the cinema, that would be the first time, ever, I've walked out on a movie. I've came close to walking out on Scary Movie 2 and Grudge 2
