Kena looks great, Sifu could be interesting, Deathloop continues to appeal and FFVIIR - Intergrade will give me the excuse I need to replay it.

Much more than I got from the Direct last week.

So apart from Five night @ Freddy, Kena, Deathloop & Final Fantasy 7 upgrade thing, what a load of gooseberry fool :capnscotty:

Can’t believe I’ve stayed up for that. I’m off to bed.

Peace mummy strawberry floaters x

Can't complain, everything shown was in the range between great and hella awesome.

Upgrade free, story dlc paid. Wonder how much it'll cost.

Also that's state of play made Nintendo looked good. Why even bother. Most of it was for PlayStation 4 and the big reveal at the end was an old game with slightly better graphics.

Wish my image sig would work

I'm surprised they didn't confirm GOW Ragnarok isn't 2021.

I mean, I suppose I'm not because corporations gonna lie, but no chance that game is this year and they know it.

So out of that, all I am interested in are

Solar Ash (I liked Hyper Light Drifter so I will try this but will wait for a sale)
Kena: Bridge of Spirits (maybe day one but depends on price)
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade (I already own the PS4 game so will play it when the PS5 upgrade comes)

Pretty poor SoP though, much like the Direct last week, you wonder why they bothered with this and didn’t just drop these trailers on Twitter over the course of a week.

wow that was less interesting than the last nintendo direct; well done sony you've really outdone the competition

yuffie expansion seems cool tho, and Sifu looks to be a God Hand-like which is also cool

I don't know if it's me or the games... but new gen really isn't drawing me in and I've not felt like this about the start of a new console generation before. I don't want to put a downer on other folks' excitement so I'll leave it at that. More power to those who are digging it!

I'd assumed it was using the US date format, which is better than having to wait till October. :D

I'm assuming that's going to be the multi-platform release date for it on PC and Xbox as well now.

Yeah I feel that, it's like we've already long reached the point where what can be done with traditional game design isn't really held back by the hardware anymore. Couple that with the fact that I have to be explicitly told that the graphics in new games are better, and really its just consistently diminishing returns by this point.

Would have been nice to see some more Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon, God of War... but nonetheless a load of games featured tonight that I’m personally interested in: Crash Bandicoot 4, Kena, Sifu, Oddworld, Deathloop and FFVII.

Strange how the announcement for March’s Plus games is still absent though.

The two “directs” this week really haven’t done anything for me. This one was probably marginally the better of the two, but I’m not convinced I would part with any cash for any of the offerings so far.

Was hoping for a stealth launch of Disco Elysium. That and 12 Minutes are the only games I’m truly hyped for right now.

Doesn't helps that we're 4 months in and there's still no big, next-gen exclusive games, not until Ratchet & Clank in June. But until then it's just a case of playing games you could play on your old console, they just run and look a bit better now.

I find this a lot now. WOW THIS GAME LOOKS INCREEEEEEDIBLE!! Now here's a frame by frame breakdown of one puddle to highlight a slightly brighter bit that you wouldn't know was there unless we showed you.

That FF7 side by side thing made the ps4 version look better in most cases. If they're so amazing, it should jump out at you without having to pause and highlight stuff.

Death loop looks great, I’ll be all over that when it joins Gamepass! ;)

Can't wait for Returnal, forgot it was out so soon.

They STILL haven't announced next month's Plus games.
