Falsey has it by the way, it's dauphinoise all the way if you've got the time to make it. Fries if not, and mash third.
Chunky chips can do one.

Sauté potatoes. A local eatery I like does garlic & rosemary potatoes though, about the size of a very large marble. Perfect.

I could see it, had that when I was in America. Had a steak sandwich with crisps, it was great.

The world is a strange place. I'm pretty certain there was a Frank Bruno/HP sauce advert in the 80s/90s where he was eating steak, chips and brussel sprouts.

So beyond some form of potato what other sides are people having with their steak? Salad? Peas? Onion rings?
What kind of sauce do you favour - are you a peppercorn fan? Bearnaise? Blue cheese? Just a simple bit of ketchup?
