I re-watching the X-Files and one of the things I've noticed is the duo always rent really shitty (I mean super gooseberry fool) rental cars. It's like they're on a mission to not only solve odd crimes but also rent unlovable shitboxes that couldn't with a chase with a golf cart.
It's just lucky the show has so few car chases as it would be like the opposite of the Fast and Furious (maybe the slow and badly designed?) as unless the criminals also have a passion for crap cars they're getting away. So to make this an actual topic what other odd observations have you made about TV programs recently?
It was common in 1970s UK detective series to have very shite looking cars for the baddies, especially if there was a car chase in the offing. You knew the car wouldn't make it to the end.
