She's on bloody television/Netflix.

Jeans and a T-shirt should be the norm, bloody outrageous.

Same. I hated how tense it was in that last episode Dx Pretty sad about Eddie, but I guess he would have just been on the run if he survived. Also pretty bummed that One didn't actually die. Basically went through all that for them to fail. The mindflayer still exists, so I didn't think One would need to stay alive, but I guess he's needed for 'communication' or something.
We still don't know how these kids got their powers in the first place. One seemed to just figure them out on his own. Since Eleven was taken from birth, there must be some sort of tell/reason.

I think the kids were literally bred to be put into the program - probably geneticically engineered using parts of One's DNA.

I was so strawberry floating sad about Eddie dying, but then again he died in the upside down and Eleven saved Max from death so who's to say there isn't a chance he could come back after.

Seems like One and the Mind Flayer are essentially the same thing - the Flayer was just dust rolling about the Upside Down until Vecna fashioned it into what it became. When Dustin called Vecna the Mind Flayer's Four Star General I think he got it the wrong way round.

Also sorry Qikz but I think Eddie's done for. I honestly don't think the Duffers were expecting him to become as popular as he did, which is a shame because I thought he was brilliant. And that Master of Puppets sequence was just excellent, speaking as someone who was obsessed with Metallica through high school.

I get that, it's just really transparent that's what she's trying to do, and it's a bit TOO over the top. I mean look

She looks like she belongs in Austin Powers

I’m really not seeing the issue. She’s eighteen, let her mess around FFS

I don't have an issue, and of course she can dress however she wants, but I can also have a giggle at her over the top outfits

This is weird ngl. :dread:

Loved Season 4, brilliant, suffered from pacing issues every now and then but on the whole it was just what I wanted.

Now it's back to Better Call Saul next week.

I thought that was wonderful. A perfect two episodes to end the season and set up the final season.

Eddie  At least he got to play guitar in the most metal way possible.

Watched episode 8 last night, thought it was good but not amazing (thought the scene in the pizza van was very good though). Started episode 9 this evening and so far it’s really good, still can’t believe it’s 2 and a half hours though

Edit, what an episode!

Eddie though

Glad the basketball player got offed, easily the worst character they’ve introduced this series and you could tell that was the case from his first line in episode one

I'm guessing the extended universe Harry Potter films have left a bad tastes in everyone's mouth.

The first time I saw the poster for that Ocean at the End of the Lane play I thought it was a Stranger Things spin-off until I noticed it was based on the Gaiman book :slol:

Will be interesting to see if the stageshow keeps the crazy monsters and otherworld kinda thing, or if it'll be a more grounded setup. Could be a decent spectacle if they go all-out with the effects.

Just watched tonight and yeah, I agree with all this. It puts a face and a character to the big bad compared to just the otherworldy Mind Flayer, so I can see why they've done it as it adds more personal stakes for 11 plus gives them more to play with. And yeah, there's no reason to bring back Eddie, as awesome as he was. I do think had they been able to see the reaction to the character they'd have been inclined to keep him alive, but as you say at least he got that Master of Puppets scene which was pretty awesome.

Overall I really enjoyed this season. I still think the first season is probably my favourite, but they've done very well in keeping the series going and expanding the mythos and upping the stakes while keeping a good sense of the original show. Looking forward to the final season, I do expect that one or two of the originals will possibly bite the dust unfortunately.
Dustin is my pick as the safest of the bunch, I can't imagine them offing him.

Season 5:

Apparently Vecna isn't the biggest bad in DnD, it's a red dragon named Borys? Will drew a red dragon with the gang fighting it, in a lovely touching scene, so presumably that's the big bad next season.

Never watched Stranger Things. Presumably I’d have to start from S1, Ep1 yeah if I did want to? Or is each season separate from previous ones.

Start from S1E1. It's not separate stories.
