I imagine there's going to be a lot of hate for this season, but I'm with you. I thought it was great.

Although it was super strawberry floating obvious that they wouldn't allow 11 to be a mass killer and that something else would have happened. And it surely didn't fool anybody that the super creepy assistant at the research facility turned out to be a super creepy bad guy!

I hope there's loads more Argyle in the second part. He made me laugh every time he opened his mouth.

Everyone I've seen complaining are complaining about Argyle and also how some of the story threads seem to not matter. What they forget, is the final 2 episodes are nearly 4 hours long. That's 4-6 episodes of any normal show so there's plenty of time to fit everything together!

SEASON SPOILERS
I saw the older guy being 001 once they first mentioned 001 was a character, but I had no idea he would turn out to be the seasons main bad guy, nor did I see the twist of him being that dudes son. Holy gooseberry fool that completely surprised me.

People are miserable banana splits. I just enjoy being in that world, I don't need every single story thread to be important.

I'd honestly watch 100 hours of just Dustin and Steve bickering.

Andyeah, I didn't see creepy guy as being the son of that guy or the big bad, but he was clearly going to be evil. I thought probably an evil version of El who unleashed the upside down monsters, I didn't see him becoming a monster.

Steve's definitely one of my favourite characters. I can't even remember hating him in season 1 before he was redeemed either. :shifty:

It was a long time ago now. He was a twat up until the end of S1, but has been one of the best characters ever since.

Episode 3

Either there are multiple Hoppers across different planes of existence or the writers have absolutely shat the bed having him walking around on a shattered ankle.

Just finished ep2, that escalated quickly

Els response to the bullies was definitely justifiable, that ending was grim even by previous seasons standard.

Reminded me of when I was around 9 or 10 (still able to walk but really unsteady on my feet)and one of my cousins who had been picking on me for weeks by tripping me up and laughing at me as I struggled to get back up and pushing me over again, real dickish stuff and one day I just lost my gooseberry fool and puched hin in the face hard enough to knock him down, he never tried it again after that.

Episode 4 done and, for a show about monsters from an alternate dimension, the Russian bits are so farfetched and goofy. Could do without them in all honesty :shifty:

I really enjoyed those bits.

I really like the Russian guard who is probably going to join the crew in going back to Hawkins. He's a traitor in Russia now so he's got no choice but to leave.

I never watched Game of Thrones so I've got no idea who you're talking about.

There's no chance he's making it out of the season alive, sorry guys. Absolutely set up to sacrifice himself getting Hopper, Joyce and Murray out of the Soviet Union.

I thoroughly enjoyed the episodes that have been released - will need to rewatch as I had it on while doing work and other things, but I thought all the storylines were valid and important in their own way. The only thing I'm not loving is the Satanic Panic. Get that new basketball player guy in the sea.

The second he appeared onscreen I knew he was a wrong 'un. And that speech he did early on confirmed my suspicions. Never trust a religious sportsman.

The Satanic Panic stuff is excellent but weirdly actually makes sense in Hawkins. It's hard to judge people for thinking demons are everywhere when they are living in a town where demons literally are everywhere

Just made a start on series 4, Lucas looks loads older

Edit, episode 1 finished and despite knowing I’d look like a right twat I kind of want a Hellfire club T-shirt  Really good first episode though.

Only one episode left for me and I'm sick to the back teeth of all the stuff in Russia. It's just so stupid and badly written. Compare S1 Joyce to S4 and, strawberry float me, what are they thinking?

Everything else is amazing though. But seriously, they should've just cut those other sections out of the script completely.

Eddie and Steve are both tied as my favourite characters now. I wish I had a friend like Eddie.

I really liked the bits you're talking about in your first sentence. :shifty:
