I assume with Ultra SF4 coming in the spring that SF5 is set for 2016? Looking forward to getting back into SF4 again!!

I'm guessing it's a mix of the two.

I don't think SF5 would have been made for a good few years if this hadn't been part funded by Sony.

I doubt this will be available till 2016

I mean the first footage for SF4 was out a year and a half before it launched

They only have two characters modelled and animated. They've got quite a few more yet to go.

I think that might be the case, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if MS (stupidly) passed on it because of the whole cross-platform thing. It's the kind of bone-headed move that they'd make.

No. They've already put "Only on Playstation" on the box and don't want to have to throw away all of those boxes.

I really hope there is some single player content. Yeah, yeah, it's all about the MP but I'm thinking Smash Bros SP collectables and event modes would go down a treat.

I guess if Microsoft even want Ultra Street Fighter IV they'd have to get one of their studios port it themselves, I can't believe Capcom are so cash strapped that they can't even port that game.

Was the Dead Rising 3 deal the same as this then? Did Microsoft fund the development of that game?

There's a good chance we'll see Super Dupa Ultra Street Fighter V Hyper X Tekken Arcade Championship Edition on the xbone. Unless sfv as a series is legally bound to the ps platform in general due to sony's contribution to the development of the core game

Indeed, unless Sony are funding the V series development. Capcom can't even afford to port Ultra Street Fighter IV to PS4.

Will be interested to see this at the Capcom Cup, few things I would like to see.

Would be decent if they added a co-op versus mode to do "tags" Ala Tekken/SFxT, Improved challenge modes and an actual working introduction mode, which links into a better single player mode. While I personally have a bit of a distaste for single player modes in fighting games I think they certainly have a place in encouraging more player into the community.

As for the roster, if the initial rumours of 16 characters are correct, I hope they are not all taken up by the whole SFII cast, while I do like them I would like to see a few new characters, and maybe a couple of returns from 3 and 4.

If Sony have paid to help develop Streetfighter V, do you REALLY think that they would allow any subsequent version to be released on XBone? That is a very different scenario if its been paid for specifically by the console manfacturer. It is essentially a second party release if thats the case. That would be terrible business practice to simply 'let' Super SFV off the hook.

Is SF a really big franchise? If so, surely Capcom wouldn't need Sony's funding, they would just get a loan if necessary. Publicly it may be described as part funded by Sony, but behind close doors it is more likely to be "we will give you this if you give us that".
