Never gave up hope on SoR returning. The way the art is being handled is amazing too. Looks so good.

Interesting. I don't know what I imagined but I didn't imagine a sequel would've used a cartoon aesthetic. But a realistic look would've taken it away from the bright vibe of the originals. Maybe something more akin to Street Fighter V?

i wonder if this means Sega will try and revitalise some of their other classic franchises.

I got so excited when I heard that this was real, but now that I've seen it I'm feeling disappointed as I really don't like the art style they have gone with. Plus as others have mentioned the music is an essential element to SoR and it doesn't sound like they've got that right either.

Here's hoping it turns out better than I expect, but I'm not boarding the hype train yet.

I shall retain my interest and see how it develops but I’m not really a fan of the art style. Would prefer it to have just been like the 16bit version but sharper.

Nice. I'm not a fan of the style either - looks very generic - but here's hoping it plays well and sounds as good as the other games.

It's the same art style as the Wonderboy remake, so it will look fantastic. I'm just not sure it's a great fit for SoR. I'm delighted it's back though.

I'm with brer, it has that same cartoon crap that plagued XBLA titles although most of them had the option to revert to the original pixel characters.

I'm happy with the art style.

I dunno who the people were but when Double Dragon 4 was announced all people did was moan that it used pixel art.

I think that was more because it was done in the style of the crappy NES games.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

While we wait...

Do we all agree that Streets of Rage 2 was the best game and that Axel was the best character? Yes? Good.

Max is second best.

We can all agree that Skate is worthless, though.

If Adam's hobby isn't bonsai I'm not interested.
