I bought a Panini sticker album the other day. Gutted when I realised it was just a load of pictures of posh sandwiches.

Don't hate the playa.

Did you choose Monday over Friday? Surely you lose out due to more Mondays being public holidays.

I had to swap the Friday for the Monday for childcare issues.

I actually gain out of having Monday’s off though. Under compressed hours, I have to book off any bank holidays that fall on a day that I would be working. With Monday’s off, that means I don’t have to use holiday to book them off and get to use those days at another time.

I would happily swap it all for a 9 to 3 work day with 6 weeks off in the summer, 2 weeks off at Easter, 2 weeks off at Christmas and lots of half terms dotted throughout the year though. ;)

They were the big round ones, you could blow up massive bubbles with them. Bugger to get out of my hair though when it got stuck that one time.

That's something I miss. Cheap sweet shops.

Gameplay

I can't eat most of them anymore, but there are less or none of

Corner shops (particularly musty ones that sell cheap past expiry packets of biscuits and broken biscuits)
Sweet shops
Video games on shelves in general stores that aren't all shite (woolworths etc)
Scotch pies
Almond fingers
Cinnamon toast crunch
Pokemon cards and when they were actually exciting
Ex rental game carts for 3 quid

Passions were surprisingly high last time I had this argument with friends. I was in the camp that highly specialised bricks stifled creativity but many of my friends were super keen on the ultra detailed kits with unique pieces

That was today's equivalent of complaining about not getting the latest releases free with PSN+

I miss going into my local chip shop to play the latest video games, returning home stinking of fish & chips and denying I'd been there (as I wasn't allowed).

The arcades. As a young gamer trips to Weston-super-Mare in the 80s were to be savoured.

If you're talking about the crisps the hospital here sells them for 20p a bag. :)

Only beef flavour though.
