Why am I not surprised that Jawa is capping for a game that is pretty much Universally hated from what was shown.

The state of play itself has also been criticised heavily but a 7/10 from Jawa.

Never change man.

Having watched the gameplay trailer again, the traversal options do look fun (if a bit ridiculous at times) but the gunplay looks very generic and bland.

Word was there was a Superman game and a Damian Wayne Arkham Knight sequel in development at some point. The Suicide Squad game was teased in Arkham Origins (which came out before Knight) and I think WB Montreal was supposed to do it but Rocksteady took it over.

After seeing a tweet saying its twice as big as Arkham Knight then I'm just out. I loved Arkham Asylum but subsequent sequels concentration on bigger maps has just diminished my interest with each one.

Considering how quickly you move about it, it kinda has to be a huge city.

But yeah, I do think Asylum is the best because of how well constructed and tight the map is.

Jason Schreier is right with what he says, back when they first started developing this maybe it was a better time for the style of game it is. Now it’s taken so long to come out it looks dull and uninspired.

I get that but I'm really starting tire of these enormous open world maps filled with pointless busy work.

Creating these big worlds on the new consoles are partly what’s causing games to cost so much/take so long. Wonder if it would be better for devs to go back to linear experiences?

I do like open world style gameplay; I get enjoyment from just wandering around environments and checking things out. Of course, nobody wants "empty" spaces with nothing to do, but I get fun outta the journey. Styles can vary, too; I loved the densely-designed city of The Division but I also hugely enjoyed the vast, open landscapes of Mad Max.

Edit: I'd like to get this but I won't pay the £70-80 price at launch. As with Avengers and Gotham Knights, I'll give it a few months and then try to pick it up.

Gotham Knights was down to €43 in an Xbox Sale recently.... not a good look. DIGITAL SALE though.

There's a small part of me slightly devastated by this looking so bad. The Arkham Trilogy is incredible, love each one (Arkham City is my favorite though).

You can tell they had to make it a shooting game rather the melee combat that Rocksteady are known for because it accomodates more characters, makes co-op gameplay easier.

I don't want more online co-op games! I'm in my 30s, organising multiplayer when everyone is free is hard. What about in person co-op games I can play with my wife? I guess it's hard to monetise experiences like It Takes Two, but I'd buy a new one of those twice a year!

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Online only in single player as well so when the game bombs and Warner Bros turns off the servers in a year, it's completely unplayable.

Looks like they've planned for this though by making a game that no one will want to play so no issue

I don't quite understand the vitriol this is getting. I'm well out of the whole looter shooter sphere so don't know what people currently think about them but from what they showed the other day this looked fairly decent to me. Traversal and combat looked pretty fun. I guess the only thing I thought was a bit off was how despite the different characters and apparent abilities, everyone looked to play more or less the same. The story stuff looked fun though.

Is it just fatigue with this type of this type of game that's causing everyone to be pissed off about it.

Time for adventure

Its trying to take Shadow of War's crown for most marketing mistakes pre release. WB think that people will play an online game for hours to unlock another hat for King Shark,. That's the best idea they have for the batman license.

Wish my image sig would work
