Quite a lot I'd like to watch, just a shame most of it is when I'm sleeping. Yes I can catch up on YouTube, but watching it live is much more enjoyable.

I'm genuinely considering taking the week off work for it. Lets me stay up to watch the stuff I want, and I can have it on in the background for the rest of the time.

Weirdly they've moved Super Metroid to the Saturday morning rather than the usual Sunday morning. No sign of Breath Of The Wild yet, but I'd assume it'll show up for the next AGDQ.

Changing Super Metroid to a day early! That's a bold move but it's probably been coming. It was getting a bit stale having the same big finale year after year. Not sure about replacing it with a solo run of Majora's Mask. That surely won't be as exciting as a race. Why not end the night with a Mario 64 race instead? Those are always amazing.

How come they've not brought back the Mario Maker slot? That was one of, if not the highlight of that particular show. Bit disappointed there's no BotW considering there are already sub-30min speedruns of it out there.

Yeah, I can maybe see why they want to break it up a bit. Super Metroid is always my highlight though.

As for BOTW they perhaps want to give the runs time to mature and develop a bit more. Sub-30 mins for such a huge game would be a bit of an anti-climax to watch at GDQ I think. Perhaps waiting to see what an "All Divine Beasts" run develops into. Either that or no-one put it forward as a run they wanted to do.

Anyone watching Monkey Ball? These runs always amaze me. I broke 2 Gamecube controllers playing SMB and these guys breeze through stages in seconds like it's nothing.

Final Fantasy 7 will be a long and interesting watch.

i know they have to pick a week in the summer but every year the same thing happens:

starts on Sunday so i get a good few hours to watch before bed
miss most of the week's stream due to work
forget its on during Saturday
remember late that the marathon is finishing
fall asleep and miss the finale



at least i watch most of AGDQ

Specter of Torment was awesome. I knew Judgement Rush would play a big part in the speedrun, but the Skeletal Sentry is way more useful than I thought it would be. Makes mincemeat of the bosses.

I'll be tuning in for the Banjo Kazooie speed run later hopefully depending what time it starts...

They're running through Heart Gold/Soul Silver later too, then Doom and Half Life later on. Looking forward to these.
