This is my favourite run of the week, and I haven't even played Bloodborne.

This randomised ALTTP race is pretty cool. Might have to play this myself at some point.

I'm watching the Dark Souls 3 run and the rate that she's tearing through the bosses is ridiculous

I didn't know that the game teleports dogs closer behind you when they're off camera too. Sneaky.

EDIT: now she's beating bosses blindfolded and without taking a hit

Games list for SGDQ has been released. No dates or times for specific games yet, but the event runs 24th June to 1st July.

EDIT: Upon further inspection it appears this is just the list of runs that have been submitted for consideration and not confirmed. I did wonder why Super Mario Bros appeared around 5 times.

Though from the list I would definitely watch the following.

Bangai-O - Any%
Dark Souls - All Bosses
MGS: Twin Snakes - Extreme
Samus Returns - Any%
Super Mario Maker
Super Metroid

Particularly excited about Pokémon Red/Yellow two games one controller. I've never seen that category before but it sounds awesome.

Some interesting runs there, so it should be a good one. Spyro rep is good, and that Pokemon run is definitely going to be fun to watch.
But that Getting Over It game finished in two minutes? I don't follow speedruns so I haven't seen any experts plays, but that's some massive skill.

Disappointed at the lineup to be honest

Some crackers in there IMO - REMake, Resi 4, Twin Snakes, Banjo Tooie, Majora's Mask, Maximum Carnage(!), Pokemon Red/Yellow and a load of others too.

Yeah apart from several hours wasted on kingdom hearts it's strong

Yeah that’ll probably be the highlight. The usual filler bollocks seems especially prevalent this time, there’s only really half a dozen runs I’m interested in. AGDQ was stacked this year so this is a bit of a disappointment. But there’s usually plenty of surprisingly entertaining runs so I’m sure it’ll be good anyway.

I remember liking the filler sometimes. Getting to watch some obscure game like Ninja-bread Man getting broken in 10 minutes was great.

Even gooseberry fool games can be entertaining when speedrunning.

GDQ is always on a time I can't watch, this time it's when I'm in amsterdam.

Yeah, I don't really feel like that. Someone going OB in some turd shovelware game or obscure indie titles does nothing for me as I'd almost be surprised if these games weren't broken in some way. Seeing the exploit generates little more than a 'huh'.

Seeing some crazy skills on stuff I've played or can see the talent in doing it on screen is more what I go for. A good personality can sell any run though really, it's a shame grandpoobear doesn't have his own slot and there's no Carcinogen as for my money he was the best runner from AGDQ.

Anyone know anyone to look out for?

Blood_Thunder running Penumbra Overture, good runner, explains stuff well

are the only others that stand out to me - a lot of runner names i just dont recognise. fingers crossed for a fun event though
