REmake was good thanks to the runners personality. I love how every time he had to dodge a zombie he'd say "excuse me sir".

Any of you been watching GDQX?

They did a randomised called Super Metroid/A Link to the Past Randomizer and i only caught the end, be t the goal was to kill both Mother Brain and Gannon. Looked switch back a forth the games. I grabbed it myself to try.

whats GDQX?

Think it was just a small, weekend long one being held a twitch-con. At first I thought it was an impromptu one for a natural disaster since they did those before, but it seemed to be general charities this time.

The big ones are still summer and winter.

Just a bump, AGDQ 2019 snook up on me; it started today at 5.00pm and runs all week to next Sunday.

The couch guy on the Halo: Reach run just now has the most annoying voice. He's not American, but he does that thing where he pitches his voice up at the end of a lot of phrases and sentences. And he won't shut up.

Did anyone catch Octopath late last night? They only did Tressa's route, but the predicted time was an hour and five minutes, which blows my mind. I only saw the start, but the speed-running community are crafty strawberry floaters.

final total was $2,396,327.50 which is a record i believe?

Really? They were sitting at 1.4m when I was watching ALTTP yesterday, that's quite a jump.

yeah its crazy - they went from 1.8 or so to 2m in about 15 minutes

I stayed up for Metroid and the finale.

Mario Odyssey was damn good, especially as they got closer to the 2m mark. If anything the Metroid run was a little bit disappointing after the energy level from the end of Mario, even if it did get better towards the end, and I say that as someone who's favourite game ever is Super Metroid.

Metroid suffered from being a very difficult, technically demanding run. It was also the runners first GDQ, so for him to not only be playing Super Metroid alone, but to be closing the marathon with it was some crazy pressure. The fact he died twice and had to resort to safety saves took some of the fun out of it..

I can understand why they went for Reverse Boss Order as they didn't have Super Metroid to finish the marathon at the last one or two GDQs and RBO has only been done once or twice before, but a 4-way Any% or All Bosses race would have helped carry the momentum after Mario, especially since there were another few high profile SM runners on the couch.

But it was still a damn good ending.

The only reason I watched this is because I like PeteDorr and I'm so glad I did

Zelda ALTTP run was the highlight for me, highly recommended.

Not SGDQ, but RPGLimitBreak is on for the next few days (Finishes at 8:30 Sunday morning) and will be focusing on RPG's, surprisingly enough.
