Sekiro turned me into a proper bitch (though I did end up Platinuming it), so I’ve no right to say this. But the guy running this honestly doesn’t seem that good at it. Though I suppose that’s compared to the guys who blast through other FS games without getting touched.

Keep in mind though: depending on the game and category a runner may not have to be that great at the game itself, they just need to be able to do the required strats.
Also the added stress of playing in front of a live audience probably plays into it.

GDQ is no stranger to running mildly amusing things into the ground and by god they've done it with "HONK".

Yeah I hardly got anything this time round but I’ve got a list of YT videos to watch and I’m thoroughly looking forward to it this week!

I stayed up till the end of Mario Maker, but by then it was 3am and I wasn't going for another 4hours to watch Links Awakening and Metroid. Got LA on now and some of the skips are pretty interesting.

The Super Metroid Impossible run is really interesting so far. Some significant changes to the route and item progression. Was bizarre seeing Sporespawn in a GDQ run. :lol:

I'd never seen Super Metroid Impossible until that stream and thought it was great to watch. I agree with the commentators that you can tell it's a hack from 2006 as it's got that same ridiculous "Ha ha strawberry float you" vibe that modern Mario Maker Kaizo levels have.

I do like that they try to shake up the Super Metroid runs a bit these days rather than doing the same thing every time. I've been seeing Super Metroid Arcade picking up some traction on Twitch, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that appear in the future.
