It’s excellent. The half-hour sunset is very relaxing and certainly seems to help me get to sleep. The sunrise is largely pointless during summer, but really starts to help around this time of year, when it’s still dark in the morning.
I set mine so the sunrise peaks 15 minutes before I need to get up, with the (quite unpleasant) beeper switched off, then use my phone alarm as the actual GET UP signal. Because of the sunrise, I’m usually nicely and naturally awake before the phone goes off.
Only downside is that I can’t set the sunrise for different times, but Lumie say this is intentional because you should get up at the same time every day. Also, you can’t use it as a regular lamp to light the room for long, as it automatically switches off after an hour. Probably a good thing, to save the expensive bulb.
Well thats a strawberry float you to shift workers. The world hates us.
My routine?
PAH.
My day shifts start at 0630 so I wake up at 0545.
My night shifts start at 1830 so I wake up whenever the hell, they're normally after day shfits though so I normally end up waking up early. Sometimes I'll have an afternoon nap.
My sleep pattern is truly terrible.
