I think I’ll have to get myself a copy of this for Christmas, feels like the kind of game to play at that time of year. Hopefully it won’t be hard to find a copy (it shouldn’t be as it’s still got another 3 months left on it’s limited run but you never know). I’d just hate it if they don’t release them as standalone games afterwards and then my chance to play them more easily (not that setting up an older console is a real hassle, just a bit annoying if you want to play a game on a whim) has gone and now some retailers are selling for just over £40 it’s not that bad considering the games.

I’m pretty much digital only these days but I’ll go physical for this.

Ordered a Switch lite for this.

Never actually liked Mario 64 at the time but want to give it another go.

Did like Sunshine.

Never played Galaxy.

They've up-ressed the UI elements, and that Big Boo picture is clearly higher-resolution too. I wonder if they've done the same to billboarded sprites such as trees, coins, King Bob-Bomb etc?

Was never a fan of 64 really. Just started playing Sunshine on the Wii U so I'll stick with that I suppose. Haven't played Galaxy 2 but Nintendo

Yeah that Boo texture is definitely higher resolution, this is the original texture ripped from Mario 64:

I think limited releases for anniversaries are quite a common thing in Japan, that's probably why

I'd put money on Nintendo changing their minds and giving it a longer release.

Im hoping that after the 6 months period for the 35th anniversary collection has passed they’ll release them individually (at least on the eshop), makes no sense to me to get them on the Switch to then literally sell them for jus5 over 6 months.

Celebrating Mario's 36th Anniversary, Super Mario 3D All-Stars +, a special bundle including Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 coming April 1st 2021 for a limited time only. x

Enjoy playing 64, and loved Galaxy even if I can't remember much of it. Never played Sunshine so, really, I'm getting this for all three. As I said on the Direct thread, preordered physical so it can be swapped between two family members, but I'll probably dive for the digital version to access it whenever.

So, in the trailer only Galaxy was 60fps?

Also, is Mario saying 'Buh-Bye' at the end of the 64 segment just a trailer flourish? Shouldn't it be So Long King Bowser!?

Or have they re-recorded the audio samples and changed it?
