Why does the PUNCH button make you drop off a net when you're monkey bar-ing around? :dread: Keep pressing the wrong button and plummeting to my death on that Goop Inferno stage :fp:

Jump? Why do I press JUMP to kick? The buttons reverse functionality when you're climbing vertically compared to climbing horizontally. It's proper daft

Galaxy is so much better than the other two games, it's not even funny.

I'm hoping when I return to this at Christmas that my views on Galaxy change because for me it's the one that has come out of this collection worst.

64 is still that revolutionary experience it always was and Sunshine was always charming but disappointing and buggy and nothing has changed there. But Galaxy just feels clunky AF now and nothing like the breathtaking, majestic adventure I remember it being!

Hey, while we're talking about Nintendo being shitcunts.

Remember when they announced the Pokémon DLC would be out on the 22nd?

Turns out the only place it's actually out on the 22nd is the west coast of America.

Why wasn't it released last night at midnight like every other company does, or simply announced as releasing on Friday?

Because strawberry floating Nintendo :simper:

The star in this level is harder to get, than defeating the boss.

Two stars into Hotel Delfino and I think I might hate this level already. Massive jump in difficulty from Pinna Park too.

Saying that though, I’m enjoying Sunshine more than I thought I would. Maybe I’m more patient and calmer in my old age. Quite happy getting one shine, two if I’m lucky, in a single play of the game when I get a chance to sit down and play it. The controls have clicked and it feels amazing at times pulling off things like wall jumps and side summersaults. This could have been the best 3D Mario with an extra year in development - it might be the worst though.

Interesting cause I'm finding Galaxy to be the least enjoyable out of the 3. Which surprises me.

A patch will be introducing proper camera customising options, apparently.

Yeah, it's good thing it's coming (if it's case, can't find proper source on it - The Reddit post got taken down too). Not for me as I got used to normal camera controls but I know people who wants it, about time too

Also I really enjoyed my time with all three games. I finished SM64 100%ed, Sunshine just Bowser beaten and Galaxy 100% as Mario. Need to go back and do Galaxy as Luigi and try to get as much as I can with Sunshine. It's weird -- when I do like Sunshine back then, I've grown more fond of it and really like it a lot. As someone said in this thread, if it had extra time to polish it could've been best Mario game, but as it is it's worst 3D Mario game so far

I foolishly thought that "proper camera controls" would have been just that and not just them letting us invert the camera! :fp:

That would take actual work rather than just remapping a button...
