Does anyone expect any gameplay tweaks to be made to these along with the controller changes? Maybe make certain areas people had issue with in Sunshine a bit easier? No major drastic changes but little subtle changes

They probably just turned off the N64 anti-aliasing.

They've up-ressed the UI elements, and that Big Boo picture is clearly higher-resolution too. I wonder if they've done the same to billboarded sprites such as trees, coins, King Bob-Bomb etc?

Upon rewatching the video, it appears they coins are higher-resolution, too. So it's safe to assume other billboarded sprites get the same treatment.

Have you watched the gameexplain video? They've done a good job of highlighting the differences.

I guess it's just a question of if they've just scaled up the existing materials or if they've completely redone the bitmaps for things like the sprites.

I was just thinking they'll have done an integer scale up of everything from the original game via emulation. Which is why SM64 is still 4:3.

But you can see they're much higher quality than simple integer upscaling would achieve.

You could play Mario 64 DS. Or play it on the Wii U and set it to display on the gamepad.

Wait, wait, wait. Mario 64 I can accept won't be wide-screen. Please tell me Sunshine will be though?

I’m sure Sunshine and Galaxy support widescreen.

Galaxy was always widescreen but Sunshine has been updated for this release

That's great, really looking forward to a nice looking Sunshine on Switch. Will almost make up for not having a decent holiday this year because of 2020.

Got my preorder in at Shopto. Only issue is that I’m yet to buy a Switch :shifty:

I'm hoping that my joycons hold up for this. I was playing Xenoblade and they started to drift. Updated them and now they are fine. I have played Mario and Rabbids and Cosmic Star Heroine and it's been okay.

Back in stock on ShopTo if anyone was still needing to order it, might get myself a copy ordered and just leave it till Christmas as it’s not exactly going to drop in price.
