I'll pop this in here. It's clips from last month from some of my streams, but as it's all from Super Mario 3D World I thought people may like to laugh at how gooseberry fool me and The Watching Artist are.

I'll have to wait until I've finished the game to watch you and TWA strawberry floating up Pedz, I don't want any spoilers! I've already had half of the game ruined by watching my kids moan at each other whilst playing it.

Managed to grab 5 minutes on this last night and got myself to World 3 now. It's a fantastic little package this, so glad it wasn't left to languish on the Wii U!

Yes.

Finally got around to giving Bowser's Fury a proper chance this past week (and completed it). The opening island is pretty boring but the game soon finds it's groove. Think the turning point for me is after we reach the island with the skating challenges.

As the game progresses, the Fury Bowser fight gets very atmospheric and exciting to play against - should I fight him, should I dodge his fire while I complete the objectives etc

Edit - Got to the credits on Bowser's Fury and 3D World. Bowser's Fury had some stuff in it that worked, some stuff that didn't. Fury Bowser was way too frequent, and to be honest, I just found it annoying when he popped up on the tougher islands. And the game gets really choppy when he's about.

I liked it overall, it just needed more thought put into it.

Reminded me of doing it 4 player back on the Wii U

99 stars of Bowser's Fury done. Have to find 5 kittens. This cat is literally the shittiest mom ever.

Edit - Done. Might be controversial, but 7/10. I'm glad I played it, but it was flawed.

Edit 2 - got to be honest here, I think they really ballsed 3D World up by making it quicker. I feel like it's more difficult to line up jumps because of this.

Finished Bowsers Fury now. That last few shines to 50 was a pain because Bowser was constantly there and because you couldn’t always seem to see where he was firing from it made things a little frustrating.

Have 73 shines so want to locate all 100.

Got all 100 shines. The camera on that final battle is dreadful.

It had so much potential but bowser turning up every few seconds really spoilt the game.

I can't agree with people claiming it's amazing or innovative. At a core level, it's basically doing what Odyssey did, but one of the main mechanics of it doesn't really work.

This. It's great, but is incredibly simple platforming wise and the bowser part gets old very quickly.

The one where (I assume) you need to light the stone torches for the stars. I've done it on the Wii U before.

I'm switching to Peach for this one when I play it next. I tackled it as Rosalina before.

Are there long purple piranha plants? Sounds like piranha creeper creek in which case yes you need to light all the torches

If it’s the night time variation then you need to do it in each area

This. It's great, but is incredibly simple platforming wise and the bowser part gets old very quickly.

I don’t understand Nintendo’s logic behind Bowsers appearance. Its even worse when the shines don’t get rid of him. I hate having to traverse a ledge where you can’t move out of the way and his fire breath comes at you with no way of dodging.

Also trying to navagate those rotating blocks while he’s out is a real pain

i know its brutal, the first and last areas are so simple in comparison
