They mentioned pipes which can lead to different parts of a map. Not sure if you could make one go from one world to another tho.

I think i saw the yellow and red level icons in a GameXplain breakdown, but that could be purely cosmetic. Pipes certainly appear to be there, but again, i'm not sure if they function for more than just a fresh way of serving the same purpose.

I really hope secret levels are in, processing that potential back when i played SMW all those years ago was when i first realised i would always love video games

That looks like a very cool and action packed update.

I wish the SMB2 mode was a toggle over the base mode rather than a mushroom, but it's still ace. It always feels a bit limiting when getting hit removes the mechanics rather than making your small or such.

I've not had the time to make as much as I'd like, so I definitely appreciate people being able to make and share around packs of levels. It should make it a lot easier to surface high-quality levels.

Well this is a pleasant surprise.

I'm so strawberry floating happy to see SMB2 mechanics being thrown into the mix, especially Phantos. With World Builder also being there to tie levels together, the mind boggles for the first time since...well, since launch to be completely frank.

Yeah, there is the same problem with Zelda levels

Yeah, good point. There should be an option for permanent power ups or something like that.

Haven't watched the update video, but I hope they make some improvements to how levels can be curated. I wish there was a way to have a GRcade group where you can just download created levels instead of us having to separately make a list of them, having to input each individual code.

You can follow people and then view a list in game of recent levels uploaded by the people you follow, it's far from perfect but it avoids typing codes

Finding levels is definitely a key weak point of the current setup. You can favourite makers you like and then just browse through the list of levels they make which helps though

Ah, didn't realise that. I really enjoyed this when it launched but being someone who wasn't likely to make any level, the lack of a really good community system made me abandon it really quickly.

I think the map update will really pull me back in though!

Yea, that was what got to me too. I wish it had something in a similar vein to Dreams, but, being Nintendo, that was never going to happen....

Are there improvements I could make to the GRcade Mario Maker bookmarks website to help people get back into this?

Would have liked this a bit sooner than later but damn, this is one way to leave one final bang. Looking forward to seeing what folks like Barb and Panga make with these new updates >,> Being able to share codes for worlds is genius too.

To be honest I think that alone kept me around the game longer anyway!

I’m not sure what else you could do with it.

Could you apply for Nintendo's online developer role?

I assume there is only one

Your efforts have been top notch.

I think when we see how the Worlds concept actually appears in the game itself, we might get a feel for if there are additional ways of book marking entire worlds rather than individual courses.

Personally, if i see a recommended course here, i would be interested in playing it, but i wont, due to the effort required to view the address on my phone while typing out the code on my Switch for a couple of minutes play. If its an entire world that linked to a small code i'm far more likely to make the effort, as it could be a whole evening play there.

So basically, a separate icon / tab for world codes would be really exciting from my point of view.
