Same, Spider-Man has been taking my time but once I finish that off I'm going to get stuck into some of these Grcade courses.

You may find all of the pink coins, but can you find the hidden 50 coin?

Just played this, really really good, probably the best MM2 course I've played so far. It feels like a proper Nintendo level, has clearly been properly playtested at all points, has well placed checkpoints and minimal memory test sections.

Excellent stuff.

+1

Really enjoyed playing this last night. Excellent design where everything hit that sweet spot between challenging but achievable. Felt very satisfying when I finished it.

I didn't find the hidden 50 coin though....

It's nice seeing so many people enjoying OSC's courses.

He won our second AYAMMM contest for a very good reason.

It's made me.realise I need to stop packing my courses with clutter for atmosphere purposes and clean it all up.a bit.

In terms of "Nintendo feel", I think Qikz's courses feel like that in some ways. Especially his ice slide with icicles course.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I've got into a bit of a funk with this - started and abandoned about 4 different course designs over the last week. I can't seem to hit on a decent enough idea at this point!

Need to go back and play through the courses that people have shared over the last few days so I can steal all of your ideas get some inspiration! :slol:

God, the Create mode music in this is absolutely fantastic. Making an SMB3 jungle themed level at the moment and it's just so catcy. Stays with me for a long time after I put the Switch away.

I’ve been in a little bit of a creative funk with this, so I decided to force myself to make a level!

Don’t Look Down 824-C5K-KPF

It’s just Mario, and a tower to climb (oh and some rising lava, but you can handle this right?)

Thanks, that's what I often go for when making levels :D

I like making gimmick levels to avoid comparisons to Nintendo made levels that highlight my lack of design capability 8-)

Testing in the 3D World theme is going well. I plan to make a full level with this one, but it depends how well this one goes if I'll make some more. This was the theme it was on upon starting, and was presented with a nice level on the start screen that featured those moving blocks. Including using them to push a Thwomp over some breakable blocks to progress.

those initial hurdles are tough to jump over. I'm still on my first level and even then, I feel like the concept is all over the place. Will still try to finish it tho. Props to those that are consistently making stuff with cool ideas.

Isn't it in the settings which character you can play as? I know mines set as Luigi

I was messing around with the kart before that, as I'd already said I was interested in trying an Excitebike/Truck recreation, but I just did not like the thing at all. And the only powerup I want to really mess around with is one of those secret ones, so no catsuit for my levels.

As for playing as Toad - in the settings you can choose which character to play as. Not sure if the selection can only be done in maker mode, though.

Nowt wrong with the cat and can add a lot of elements to the level, with it being able to break bricks side on, slide and damage enemies in small gaps, climb various walls, spin Banzai Bills so the turn around and so on.

I was going to upload my second level today but it'll be tomorrow instead due to my relatively low patience right now. :shifty:

Just so you know, you can just swim up high over a lot of it, so you might want to bring the ceilings down or change the spread of the enemies to make up for it.
