Surprised with how much battery this game takes up quickly. From a full charge, I'll get around 3 hours which seems pretty low.

Yeah, the battery use is running pretty similar to on the Wii U. On that version it got through the juice quickly and the Switch seems to be performing similarly. I'm not quite sure why, really; maybe it uses the net connection pretty much constantly?

Made a multiplayer versus focused course - basis of the level is to climb up the vertical sub area quicker than your opponents. There's 4 doors, 2 lanes and shells to throw at either opponents on your side or even over on the other side to try and send them back to the bottom!

I'd recommend playing this 2-4 player but even in 1 player there's a load of cool jumps you can try and do to get up quicker!

I think I was the first to play that earlier. Some tricky but perfectly manageable jumps, which you can do first time (as all good levels should, You can finish them first go, but come back to master).

I also played your castle climb to the sky one, which was probably my favourite one out of everyone's so far. A proper level with no memory test bullshit.

So this post-game grind for coins in Story Mode is one of the worst design choices I've ever seen in a Nintendo game

I have at least 1000 coins still to grind despite having completed every level, and I've already wasted enough time grinding what I hoped was the last 500 coins beforehand.

Anyone know what level is best to repeat?

Story Mode isn't really grabbing me.

The levels are good, sometimes even great. I just find the thing a bit annoying in some respects (going in and out of menus, having to speak to characters).

I'm really enjoying this game. I do wish there was some sort of mode that let you play a number of popular, moderate to high completion rate levels (lets say >15%) back to back like endless mode though.

I appreciate i have listed a somewhat specific demand, but i think the point i am making is that endless feels like a lottery as to whether you will be able to clear one level, let alone 10+ (and also do you want to?), and the course search mode is pretty good, but the lack of integration in to some sort of consecutive level design means that you don't really take the effort to collect one ups and coins (which endless mode actually does quite cleverly by limiting to 3 1-ups maximum per level).

I know i'm the problem here, as i am quite task focused when i play games, so a lack of progression really kills my motivation (i think its why i don't like roguelikes). Maybe we will see something of this nature pop up in the future. In the mean time i will alternate before the progression of story mode, mixed in with attempting levels by people here and the highly rated ones (and other courses by people who have uploaded highly rated ones).

ive up loaded my first attempt at an auto scrolling level, well it was just an ordinary level but i figured why not make it auto scrolling to make it a bit different from my usual stuff

find it on the level list thing

Just played this, really really good, probably the best MM2 course I've played so far. It feels like a proper Nintendo level, has clearly been properly playtested at all points, has well placed checkpoints and minimal memory test sections.

Excellent stuff.

Plan to get through all the levels on the GRcade list. I haven't looked at any of them yet.
