In fact the whole of that post-game world left me feeling slightly cold. Like the game’s hitting us around the head with a big ol’ nostalgia mallet, going, ‘DO YOU RECOGNISE THE HOMAGE YET!? DO YOU!?’

I actually found that post-game world a little cold in feel and not just concept. I think it's the silence of it with the slight echo on the sound effects that actually made it feel a little eerie to me, as opposed to warmly nostalgic. And maybe the realism of the grass textures or something too, who knows. But I found it a little unnerving and would prefer to play around in any of the other worlds.

It should have taken you to a recreated version of the SM64 level

Guys, I'd suggest that a lot of the chat is veering into 'spoilers' territory. Please remember to spoiler your comments if you're talking about end-game effects and situations :) .

Fair enough, am trying to keep it vague but I can add some spoilering too!

Some sort of flying level, definitely. Maybe using a Para-Bones?

At first I thought the same but as I actually explored I found that after the noise of the end it was really relaxed and chilled out. Which I appreciated. I dont think its an accident that this is the area you first get to use the music feature in to.

As for the nostalgia, I thought that it had enough of its own design ideas that it felt somewhat unique. With just a few surprises hidden away. Plus I got to be Yoshi in a new way.

Nearing 700 moons now. I adore the way the Kingdoms have come to life and its ace revisiting them. Enjoying a bit of Balloon hiding to. Back to the Metro Kingdom and I've got about 3 moons to go but 1 is the skipping rope thing. :dread: I get to about 50 and Mario simply doesn't seem to be able to jump quick enough. :|

Is this because you've almost finished the game Jawa?! :o

As the skipping rope gets faster you need to barely be tapping the jump button so Mario is only doing a tiny hop. Too much pressure and he'll jump too high which will mess up the timing.

See I eventually did it by getting to 50 the proper way and then as soon as I hit that number I just hammered the jump button as fast as I possibly could while looking away from the screen (so I didn't get distracted by what I was seeing).

I don't know how to be any softer :(

At about 750 moons now. Have revisited all the Kingdoms up to and including the Luncheon one. I've found just about everything in them all apart from a few things.

Managed to get to 80 in the skipping rope challenge trying some your suggestions. Did the volleyball one very easily in comparison.

It just doesn't happen at some point it always fails. :x

I think I just have 2 more moons to find. That one and the darker side of the moon. I really dont want the last thing I do in this game to be that blasted skipping.

Still at least its not as mind numbingly boring as.....

All done. Beat the final level this afternoon, which compared to recent final ones was rather easy and then somehow did the skipping tonight. Bought a load of moons. Hit 999. The reward was quite sweet. Not sure what the point of invisible Mario is but  And I did the extra painting which was kind of cool.

My Switch haz no gamez now

Hollow Knight m8

If you’ve already played Celeste that is.

I'll probably get those on PC so I can stream them. That way Jawa can enjoy it because cloud kingdom knows he wont play them for more then 5 mins.

Tempting but expensive (I'm sure worth it) and the season pass thing irritates me now as I'm unsure how it fits in. Plus that is also expensive.

I'd say that now is the best time to jump in because the additional stuff will work its way naturally into your playthrough with the exception of the Torna expansion which is completely separate. It's definitely worth the money and probably one of the best examples of a season pass.

I played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 without the season pass and would say it is easily one of the best games I've played in a long time - over 100 hours of enjoyment! :toot:

I plan to pick up the pass at some point when I go back to it but it's certainly worth a purchase even without it.
