The theme there  Best '1st' level music since Good Egg Galaxy

Cascade Kingdom does have a great theme - reminds me a lot of Gusty Garden (which is a classic).

Cascade, Snow and Wooded Kingdoms all have great music.

And Metro obviously.

Really don't want this to end, made it as far as the Luncheon Kingdom but have now found myself backtracking through other kingdoms to find purple coins to deck my odyssey out with :fp:

Last I checked when browsing people's play time for Mario like a sad bastard you were on about 5 hours playtime and we are at the same point in the game and that's taken me 35 hours :slol:

I was quite surprised by how small the kingdoms are, I'd imagine competing the game from beginning to end would take under 10 hours.

I'm spending more time just exploring nooks and crannies, playing the the mechanics an just trying to savour it.

I think you got that a bit backwards St Nick, at near 35 hours and me just finishing the Luncheon Kingdom I'm the one doing the savouring ;)

To think I was worried about finishing this quickly

I'm at over 40 hours and have 631 moons, so much left to do.

It was certainly a challenge, but then that's what it's there for. I really enjoyed that bit: I loved how it felt like a celebration of lots of little bits of the kingdoms and cappy creatures that had come before it!

I haven't played since almost finishing it and deciding to take a break.

I tell you what was really frustrating though

That bit was fairly tricky I agree. Although you don't actually need the speed of the roll to do it - you can get through using long jumps which I found makes it easier to hit the P switches.

I've really been enjoying some of the post game content, especially these bits which ramp up the challenge.

So Super Wario 64 is a bit odd.

It just doesn't feel right. Wonder if the mod has cocked up the controls slightly. * Like the model/hit box/animation have made it more clunky. I dunno. Never remember Mario feeling this sluggish and performing a triple jump is much harder then I remember as well. When I get the metal cap the game freezes so I wont 100% this version SM64.

Also this camera has not aged as well as some people think.

*probs not helped by emulating to a 360 stick
