They clearly took it out to build the sequel around, would they also bring Fludd back though?

Well I suck at the woodland area, really don't want the game to be killed off this early for me so hopefully I will crack it....

Shame, the Wooded Kingdom is one of my favourites (gotta love that music! ♫ )

Is there anything in particular that you are struggling with on it? I don't remember experiencing any particular difficulty spikes there myself, but it as been a while since I played!

Also, yes DLC would have been fantastic for this but what we got was already so brilliant that it feels harsh to hold that against it. I can wait for a full sequel!

Right at the start of it in just finding it very hard to control the long leg plant pot men so end up getting hit others of them and getting killed.

It'll click, each area requires you to make use of the enemies.

They don't (all) require it actually, and it's kind of one of the things I like most about the game. Sure, capturing is the main feature of the game and for good reason, but it's clear in the design and layout of each kingdom that Nintendo went above and beyond to make sure there were pure platforming routes through the kingdoms that completely bypass capturing enemies.
Capturing an enemy to trivially get around/over an obstacle? A bit boring. A triple jump, cap-throw, dive, cap-jump, wall-jump, cap-throw and dive? Thrilling!

Yeah it did, got to the purple goo spitting boss and then got my arse handed to me a few times, can't move fast enough and ground was so purple and covered in bloody flowers I just get screwed by goo before I can even get at the boss for the second hit.

Try spinning, that's a neat trick!

Yeah, throwing the hat clears the goo, and a spinning hat throw does so across a bigger area.

Yay!
Also, to keep in mind for later: You can for the most part just not do the broodal boss fights in the kingdoms if they prove too hard. There's usually enough moons to be found in each kingdom without the 3-moon from the boss fight to get to the next area. And you can always return later to try the fight again if you want to.

That I didn’t know, I’ll keep it in mind, got enough moons to leave the woods now, quite liked the flower garden fight that was fun using the long leg fella

Now off to metro kingdom.

Are you getting everything you can before moving on or going to each level as it becomes available?

Pretty much just moving on, I’m not one for collecting things but I may go back for a look on som, a few areas felt like they had more to give although some I was glad to leave.

As I say I’m not one for collecting things and having no joy at all in wandering around looking for stuff. If things are along the way sweet but I can’t be doing with going round every square inch of a level to find anything.
