Liking this a lot so far, just got the first star and made it into the sewers.

Not fussed about spoilers, but is there a best party? Of course please spoiler the answers as others might be bothered about the characters you meet (although guess they’re all on the cover art?), just wondering as I’ve no idea how the levelling works for characters not in your active party.

As soon as I get her I will, do all characters level up even if not in the party? Completely different games but XCX always put me off mixing the party up with how that dealt with levelling up characters.

Peach kinda breaks the game in my opinion-makes the combat very easy and just a matter of grinding to victory!

In RPGs I always lean towards having a healer in the party if possible anyway, so would have probably been including Peach anyway! Any advice on number 3? I guess Mario is locked in to one spot?

You can change mid battle without using a turn so what you'll likely end up doing is switching between members anyway.

Yeah, Mario is a lock.

Do enemies just have a random amount of health in this? Noticed even in the exact same area, some enemies take an age longer to defeat than others do.

Just reached Rose Town and it looks like I'll be getting party member 3 soon.....

Yup. They drop a frog coin and a lot more xp, but they also have more health and deal more damage. You can tell a special enemy when you hover over them, their name is in yellow and it says "special enemy" underneath.

Just got the second star and got ace I so might leave it there for tonight. What a wonderful game though, another quick question though, the signal ring, does my active party members need to have it equipped? Or once I get to the point where I have inactive members, can they have it equipped and I still get the little ping saying there’s a hidden chest nearby?

Did anyone else find Link in the Rose Inn anyway?

Just got the 3rd star, so far all three of the boss fights (mini bosses as well) have been great, in the modern era of a game not even feeling like its started till you're 10 hours in, this has been a great 5 or so hours so far :toot:
