I'm on World 3 at the moment. Not a huge fan of the brown sludge aesthetic.

No, it’s quite a contrast to the first couple of worlds and not in a good way really. Luckily on the shorter side compared to those though.

Just made a start on world 4, I do inevitably wonder when I’ll give up going for 100%

I liked world 3! Liked the moody abstraction of the Fez-y cubist background things, and the different music. Like some Mario El-Dorado or something.

(still not finding it that interesting though and agree with a lot of Jezo's final verdict but hey)

It’s an ok world, just didn’t enjoy it as much as the other ones, just realised looking at the map I’ve not even attempted two levels in world 2, so will go back to those at some point.

World 5 down, onto World 6 :toot:

I’m doing ok in terms of 100% levels, only a few where I would need to go back and collect one or two flower coins. Got all the Wonder seeds so far, few flagpoles missing too I guess.

Is Captain Toad in every world somewhere?

I presume so. Found him in worlds 2, 3 and 5. However the reward, while actually somewhat useful, is still trivial and unnecessary.

Just finished World 4 (well, I need to go back and get one purple coin), definitely an improvement over 3, last couple of world names sound neat so hopefully that transfers over into the levels.

World 6 down, now onto Bowser’s Castle! I’m currently sitting at 10 hours played according to the Switch clock. I still need to find 2 hidden exits I think unless I just haven’t played those levels yet

Not sure if I’ll go for a full 100% completion straight away, this might be something I come back next year just to experience it again and mop up the last few challenges. Game is brilliant, pure fun, I think it’s probably the most ‘fun’ video game I have played this year if you know what I mean.

I think I’ll go back to NSMBU Deluxe at some point as well and do more of the extra stuff in that (Still haven’t played NSLU in that yet) same with 3D World.

And done, the Bowsers castle level was brilliant

Not interested in going for 100% right now (Banging my head against the wall in that jump to the beat special world level) but I got a majority of all the levels collectables, 15 hours on the clock and I’ve loved every minute of it

Think I’m nearing the midway point of world 5.

I guess very easy mode in this is Yoshi/Nabbit with the badge that automatically jumps you out of holes? Used that badge one level and it seemed OP really.

Edit, onto world 6 now, the wonder seed character/power up in world 5 was annoying as to control.

100% clear now. Absolutely fantastic game and the final levels were really good!

 I felt the same, good level up until then but that was too much!

I actually had 0 trouble with that. My issue was the bit with the firebars. I ended up cheesing it by holding onto a powerup from another level and powering through it the second time. The first I did it legit but missed the top of the flag pole at the end of the level. Second time I got to the invisibility bit I one shot it :toot:

Nearing the end of World 6 now, done the Castle and one level away from what looks like a second castle (that needs 25 Wonder seeds to unlock, which I have even one level out), reckon once I've hopefully kept my 100% streak with this and Bowsers Castle I'll probably give it a break before starting with the Special World, no idea how long that world is of course, or how hard, but nothing has been particularly hard so far, just a few annoying moments, well other than the beat level in world 2, think thats been the only hard level so far and even then it was more about repetition than anything else.

Well, even after a handful of tries at the invisibility badge II level in world 6 I know that'll be a pain to complete, so I'll probably move onto the final castle area then, wasn't a fan of the first invisibility level, never mind a trickier variant.

I do feel while this started off amazingly well, as I've got further into it, it's probably dropped from a 9/10 to an 8/10.
