Thanks all. I have already pre ordered this as TGC were doing £10 of reward points, but I will tune in to watch this and see if it looks as amusing as that first trailer did.
If they remove the talking flower I am cancelling my pre order though.

Looks absolutely
wonderful.
Powerups look good fun as do the new enemies and other gameplay additions.
I hate the voice for the flowers though. Hopefully that can be changed or turned off.
Right now I'm just thinking of all the new levels these additional mechanics would allow. Maker Maker 2 update please.
EDIT: Can't say I was expecting
Souls-esque phantoms, but I'll take them.

Love the idea of badges! Hopefully it makes the levels more repeatable in different ways.

Excellent direct. Feels like a massive update to what 2D Mario is moving forward. Loved the new power ups and the badges. The whole game has a level of Nintendo polish and charm.
Also the new OLED looks very nice.

three playable toads, lets go.
plus captain cameos
nice selection of playable characters and daisy.
the bubble power up appeals to me a fair bit
the badge power ups look good
liking the enemies
the wonder effects look fun
and i gotta say, the online features where you just help each other seems rather good

Shame it doesn't have proper online coop. What they've got looks good enough but an online mimicking the local would have been nice. My only criticism.

Looks so good, will be getting a pre order in for this soon, OLED looks nice but nothing special, left it too late to get one anyway, in hindsight I should have just bought one with Dread, thought we might have got news of a Switch 2 by this point though

I think The Game Collection still have the £10 in reward points offer on this, you need to pay upfront (£42.95) but get £10 back in credit when it ships.
