I think it should be Palico, that would be great. And I think it would make the most people happy too.

It's a third party character but also one from a massively popular franchise.

It's weird how Capcom only have 1 character but every other company (bar Konami) has multiple.

i count 3 capcom, megaman, ryu and ken. konami has 3 as well. as does sega and SE

Sega is the most surprising for me with Sonic being their only real rep in my eyes. I know they own Bayonetta and Atlus (and therefore Joker) but they're not really characters you'd associate with Sega.

I'm pretty sure they don't own Bayonetta, they just published the first game

nope they co-own her with platinum. they dont even need to credit platinum in character copyright part

I dont even think Platinum co own the IP, it's fully owned by Sega.

Bayonetta 2 and 3 only happened because Nintendo wanted to fund and publish it. If the first had been more successful, Sega might have carried on with it but they seem content for Nintendo to take it on

Got to properly try out Kazuya yesterday with my cousins. He's absolutely mental lol. Even if you play super causal, he still has moves that can take stocks really early. Already seeing top players making him look entirely on another level. Something tells me the last patch is gonna nerf him hard lol.

Also I can't find the tweet but I saw someone joke the last Fighter was gonna be Fire Emblem because of the rumoured remake happening lol. I genuinely think it could end up being the case. I'm dialling back my expectations a little more now.
