Just found that, the sheer length of the post is frightening.

There are far too many for them to have all just come from nowhere. Can't say I'm overall too surprised given the nature of the scene, but holy gooseberry fool that's a long list.

Edit: tried working my way through it, but it's just exhausting, good god.

Was wondering if news had spread to here.
I've been a tournament goer (and occassional runner) for 5 years now and even though the problem has been almost entirely centralised around the American scene me and every other tournament organiser in the Uk has gone and updated their polices in light of this news.
In the case of Chester we began running events a year ago from a pub my relatives owned. We still plan using the venue on occasion because people like it (it's also free for us) but safe to say we put our foot down.

Obviously there will be massive reprecussions over this. Nairo was one of the few players lucky enough to be in Nintendo's good books for years and got to play celebrities on stage at E3 2018. No doubt learning that he had his dick sucked by a 15 year old (and then paid him $2,000 to keep quiet) will make Nintendo think twice about their already uneasy relationship with the competitive playerbase.

Anyway, in lighter news: had a small, friendly tournament with a bunch of mates tonight for Min Min coming out. DLC characters only. Good times and got some games in with Min.

Overall I think she's ok. I'm far from a top tier player, but I've taken a few games at a local here and there. Generally speaking she's got stuff to play with, but I just don't like how she feels. Maybe I'll just need more time in game to get the hang of the different fist buttons and the like, but I personally feel like her moveset is pretty limited when what's essentially the same punch is on 4 buttons. Sure it lets you fire them in two directions at once, but I feel that could be done in a manner similar to turning the Falcon Punch around.

First character in FP2: could be a lot worse. Probably won't ever pick her, but won't grumble if I roll random.

Grabbed both fighter packs for this, going to give all the new characters a test run tonight and see how they feel.

Got to spend more time with Min Min yesterday with some offline games. Concluded that she's amazing and unique but not for me.

I'd be down for a small tourney too >,>

I played some games Friday night with a few mates (all UK based) and we only had one game where it lagged and the match ended by connection loss. The rest of the games we played were faultless

I've had online matches ranging from perfectly fine, to so egregiously bad that it stopped dead for a full minute before booting me out.

I've had less issues since I bought an ethernet adapter- less, but not zero.

Unfortunately its only as good as the weakest link. The best you can do is get an adapter and hope the person you're playing isn't on mobile tethering and playing handheld or whatever.

Very strange 8.1 patch dropped over night. Apparently can now play any music track over battlefield, final destination, big battlefield, and a new stage, small battlefield. Small battlefield looks similar to Pokemon Stadium, but it looks a bit smaller?

There's apparently netcode improvements as well, with Sakurai tweeting that 1v1s should run better
