I'll check the stream when I get in, but I'm extremely lukewarm on another FE character. But who knows? Maybe they'll play differently enough that I don't have to ask "Wait, what Fire Emblem am I?" when I roll random.

I picked up the fighter pass, honestly I was happy enough with it until this. I mean another FE character?

Odd choice to end the pass with aye...I'm glad they've at least gone with different weapons, if we had to have another FE rep it's about time they got an axe and bow in there.

Can't complain really, I've gotten a ton of use out of the pass (Banjo Kazooie alone :wub:

) and the game's roster is outrageous by this point, it is just a very bizarre character to end with. After so many neat third party picks, if they were going to end with a first party one I'd have assumed it'd be from a less represented franchise.

Also I'm assuming the male Byleth will be the default choice, by the time of the third male+female FE choice they should really have at least one default to female.

Regardless of anything...this is a game where Banjo Kazooie, Terry Bogard, Snake, Mario, Sonic, Cloud, Mega Man and Ryu can duke it out, that's pretty nuts when you get down to it

It makes you wonder if they couldn't get the rights to any other third party characters or the cost of getting the rights was too high.

that cuphead mii costume was the best bit of the direct for me, great to see cupheads inclusion
