I always kinda expected Tekken to make it but didn't think it would take this long. Glad to see Kazuya rep the series. Might be one of the better Smash trailers we've got yet.

Kazyua looks absolutely awesome. Definately giving him a spin.

I have no interest in the character but I guess it's kinda cool. Adding more fighting game characters is a bit boring in my opinion, though if they're unique enough in style then that's the main thing. I did enjoy the reveal trailer!

Not to be jumping ahead here but I am curious as to when we'll get the last fighter revealed. The Game Awards seems way late at this point.

Apparently they already confirmed it'd be at the game awards though I haven't looked for if it's real/the source.

Kazuya presentation on the 28th though, so we'll probably get the character that week or the week after.

Tekken is way more popular and successful that Pyra/Mythra or Fire Emblem.

Tekken is super mainstream, my mum knows what Tekken is.

It's definitely a perspective thing. Saw a thread afterwards of people "Who?"ing Kazuya in comparison to Banjo. For comparison Tekken 3, which is contemporary with Banjo Kazooie sold roughly 8mil compared to 3.6mil, respectively. It's second place to Street Fighter.

Tekken is a big deal.

I wish they would add more moves to use for the Mii Fighters, it's cool adding all these costumes but I wish they would expand the moveset you can choose from.

It's fine, I'll just move my unreasonable expectations from Dante onto Kiryu, I guess. Nagoshi turned him down for Tekken because of Smash, guys, it's obvious.

As for Kazuya, he looks really fun. Would still have preferred Heihachi, but I guess the explanation why it's Kazuya makes sense.

I can understand that perspective of him being over the top but also most folks are probably not gonna utilise most of Kazuya's kit. Within a week you're probably gonna see folks shaping his meta and everyone will prob follow it after as always. It's def overwhelming tho, even as a casual Tekken player but I'm still glad they went the lengths to make him as accurate as possible. It's also Bamco so they prob made sure he got extra treatment lol.

So, who do we think will be the last fighter? It’s got to be someone big right?

he does seem a little over the top. personaly the character i wanted to get in the least was among the mii costumes so count that as a plus
