So I've finished World of Light.

Took a bit longer than expected!

I spent a fair bit of time checking the Spirit Board, as I'd noticed on Summon that there were quite a few great spirits available through there. However as I made my way further through WoL it transpired that those spirits - as well as some Legend class spirits that I had to push pretty hard to unlock via the board - were actually available through WoL later in the game. :lol:

The remaining motivation, multiplayer aside, is now to achieve all of the challenges, but after 40+ hours I'm a bit burned out, so I'm going to go back to BotW.

The potential of Stage Builder returning has me pumped. I can see them trying to tie it into Super Mario Maker 2 in some way. Even having a similar layout. A simple stage builder isn't enough tho, I think this time around they'd need to go all out with extra stuff you can add.

Christ, glad I didn't pay for Online now. Tried playing it earlier and it's so strawberry floating laggy :slol:

literally just seemed to freeze every few seconds. Totally unplayable. Hope it's just a bad night, and it's not always like this...

From what I have played and seen via Twitch most of the time it's fine, but you do get the occasional bit of lag in some matches.

The online is pretty terrible but it's not supposed to freeze every few seconds and have lag spikes if you have a decent internet connection. Having a wired connection will help too but on wifi it can at least be 'stable'/consistent.

But of course if any of your opponents have a bad connection then it'll bad for you as well.

Yeah, I had a couple of four-way matches it seemed to really suffer with. then ended up with a one-on-one that seemed to run a lot smoother. Still got totally blathered, though

Throwing out a controversial take but I want Joker to be released already so we can move onto more interesting characters >,> The whole situation around his reveal up till now has been pretty lacklustre. Just want it over and done with. Update 3.0 is also imminent and I'm sure we'll get some kind of Smash direct to coincide it too.

I’m looking forward to 3.0, but... yep, Joker is dull. Especially to those who have never played a Persona game, but the lad still looks like another anime swordsman to me.

How long before I get Cloud? There are some gooseberry fool characters now :lol:

There's a difference?

Joker isn't a great first choice in my opinion. I'm sure he'll be popular in Japan and will make fans of Persona happy but I don't see him having the wider videogame appeal a most of Smash's third party reps have. I can't see him selling many Fighter Passes, and from a commercial POV I would have thought they'd want a big character to start with so it's concerns me how strong the rest of the lineup will be.
