Does it let you save replays of anything other than straight up Smash battles yet? Built in replay functionality that blocks the Switch OS video recorder, but no World of Light replays, no Spirit Board, no Classic matches... :dread:

Okay.

Apparently it's an air soft gun.

Stage Builder looked pretty impressive to fair. A lot more customisation options. I doubt I'll ever create anything that great but I'm looking forward to trying other peoples.

Delighted to see they confirmed Banjo-Kazooie with that Gruntilda custom stage too too  :shifty:

I don't know anything about Persona but the stage looked fantastic I thought. The colours changing with the music is a nice touch too.

Gone off the game a bit so not as excited as I might have been otherwise, but Joker seems cool. Fair bit of uniqueness in his design. The stage is nice - one of the better DLC ones.

And I approve of the track list. Bit of a shame there's no Persona 1/2 representation in there as they have some great tracks (not even any of the newer Jpop ones from the PSP remakes), but with the battle themes from 3-5 and other tracks like Battle Hymn of the Soul I can't complain too much. Certainly better than a certain other third party series.

I planned on not getting Joker but now I'm kinda considering it. Might wait and see what the other DLC characters are though.

The extra layers and tools added to Stage Builder have me hyped. Probably gonna lose unhealthy hours tinkering around with it.

Joker looks neat, tho seems a bit obnoxious to fight against if I'm being honest >,> First week should be fun. Now we wait for the dreaded patch notes. Really hope they keep up the trend with sticking to buffs rather than nerfs like the last one.

Apparently it's an air soft gun.

It's a fake gun, but due to the 'collective unconscious' and other pseudo-psychology gibberish, if enough people believe something, it becomes true in Mementos, the main P5 dungeon.

Basically, the enemies perceive it as a real gun, so it works as a real gun.

Need more time to tinker with it but I think it's neat so far. Layers really make or break how cool your stage could look. It's a refreshing distraction for now. I do wish we had the option to choose more backgrounds from existing stages and that there were more materials but I guess they had some limitations.

It's definitely the most comprehensive stage builder yet, but every custom stage still has that "stage builder" feel to it, annoyingly. I feel like a few extra options could help them blend in a little nicer. It's great to have though and I do wonder if someone will make the ultimate competitive legal stage with it.

Haven't tried the Stage Builder yet, that may come tomorrow.

But I have developed a fondness with Joker this afternoon - his neutral-b gun slinging leaves a bit to be desired, kick-sliding foes into the air and then pulling them back in with the grapple is fun though and overall he feels satisfying to play. Mementos is a fantastic stage too.

I do like the maneuverability of his neutral B, with the dodge and vault and whatnot, but the damage is too low to be of much use.

I like that you can fire it downwards while falling too, but it's pretty useless unless the enemy is directly below you, and even then he falls so quickly that you're basically setting yourself up to be punished.

I'm pretty lukewarm on Joker. Looked cool in the reveal but he feels a bit too swift and technical for my taste. I'm still hyped to see how far people take him in competitive play tho.
